Stand Up Paddle Surfing (SUP) Yoga in Noosa
#visitsunshinecoast Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Surfing has been growing in popularity throughout Australia after it took off in Noosa around 5 years ago. SUP is a very old form of surfing which originated in Hawaii and has had a resurgence in recent years.
The large, stable boards make it easy for almost anyone to take up the sport but a Noosa operator, Noosa Stand Up Paddle, has taken the sport to new levels by comining yoga with paddle boarding.
It works by paddling hard to get the board moving and then performing a series of yoga poses on the board. Called 'SUP Yoga' this new form of exercise is great for core cody strength and when performed outdoors on the calm Noosa waterways, it makes for a totally envigorating experience.

I den här vloggen är jag i Noosa till en början. Noosa var verkligen så vackert, fina stränder och fin natur. Vi gjorde stand up paddle board i kanalen där, det kan jag verkligen rekommendera om ni åker till Noosa.
Efter Noosa åkte vi till Fraser Island. Jag och Malin tog en två dagars tur där med övernattning vilket var så SJUKT kul. Åker ni till Australien så måste ni åka till Fraser Island. Hoppas ni njuter av vloggen, pöss!

A little wrap up video of our luxury SUP Yoga Day Retreat hosted in Noosa, Australia.
Our day included a stand up paddle board tour of the stunning Noosa Heads waterways, a SUP yoga class, an organic picnic brunch, a yoga stretch and mindfulness meditation workshop and a final paddle and sup yoga practice to return to our starting point.
Most of our gorgeous ladies were complete beginners to SUP and did an incredible job of letting go of their fear and floating with me!

Noosa Festival of Surfing 2010 Weeksy's Best Bits - SUP & Finless
Global Surf Industries' Noosa Festival of Surfing 2010 saw many different surfcraft utilised both in and around the competition. Stand Up Paddleboards (SUPs), hollow timber boards, Rasta on his Tom Wegener alaias, plus a number of NoosaFest competitors on finless alaia style boards made of both timber and fibreglass. Wish I had filmed more, but this is some of the bits I got. Make sure to watch all the way to the end to see a SUP mini-air!

Noosa Festival Of Surfing 2016
NOOSA, AUSTRALIA - Pro surfers, amateurs, tandem surfing stars and man's best friend have descended upon Noosa on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, Australia, for the world's biggest surf festival by competitor numbers.
One of the most popular competitions is the Dog Spectacular. Festival Co-Founder Paul Jarratt said they're the only festival or surfing event in the world where the dogs surf on a stand up with their masters.
It's not just man's best friend catered for in the 25th year of the festival. Surfers from all walks including, including longboard, shortboard, finless, tandem, stand up paddle boards, and body surfing take part.
People from a wide age range, from under 15 to over 70, also compete and are well looked after, which helps to make the festival one of the most popular events on the global surfing calendar
The event kicks on until March 12th with more than 30 competitions catering for a variety of surfers including longboard, short board, finless, stand up paddle board and more.
