Originally named the German Theatre, the opera house opened in 1888 to great applause. It was immediately hailed as one of the finest German opera houses.
At the end of World War II, the opera house was renamed the Smetana Theatre, after the famous Czech composer, Bedřich Smetana. Opera in Prague was back.

Už jsme tu měli asi milión tzv. flash mobů, tedy videí, která zachycovala skupinu lidí a jejich vystoupení na určitém místě, v určitý čas. Buď tancovali, nebo třeba zpívali, nebo dělali úplně něco jiného. A vždycky to bylo z nějaké cizí země. Ale pozor! Flash mob konečně dorazil i k nám! (zdroj: )

During our visit to Prague we went to see the play Cyrano de Bergerac in the National Theatre. I took some footage during the brake and at the end of the play.
Během naší návštěvy v Praze v roce 2009 jsme šli do Národního Divadla na představení Cyrana. Vzal jsem si sebou kameru a filmoval během přestávky a na konec, kdy herci děkovali.
