Volcano-Steam Vent-Sulphur Bank-Lava Tube-Devastation Trail On Big Island, Hawaii-UHD 4K
You will see the Hawaii Volcano National Park, and find the Jagger museum, see steam vents (caused by lava under the crust of the earth). The Thurston lava tube was fascinating, we also visited the hidden underground tunnel and Devastation Trail.
At Sulphur Banks (Ha'akulamanu), volcanic gases seep out of the ground along with groundwater steam. These gases are rich in carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide and hydrogen sulfide -- the gas that smells like rotten eggs. Some sulfur gases deposit pure crystals at Sulphur Banks. Other sulfur gases form sulfuric acid which breaks down the lava to clay. This clay is stained red and brown with iron oxide.
The Jagger Museum is named after Thomas A. Jagger, and it contains many exhibits and artifacts on volcanology. The Thurston lava tube is a tube through the earth that was carved out by a flow of lava many centuries ago, and you must go through a rainforest jungle in order to reach this spectacular natural wonder.
Devastation Trail is a trail that leads through an area that was devastated by volcanic activity when Kīlauea Iki erupted in 1959. Seeing the cinders made us realize just how devastating the volcanic eruption was.
The Big Island is the largest and the southeastern-most of the Hawaiian islands, a chain of volcanic islands in the North Pacific Ocean. With an area of 4,028 square miles (10,430 km2), it is larger than all of the other islands in the archipelago combined and is the largest island in the United States.

Hale Mar Hawaii: steam vent field at Volcano National Park
A short drive from the entrance to Volcano National Park on the Big Island of Hawaii, you can stroll across this live lava steam vent field!
It's a great place to visit while staying at Hale Mar Hawaii, a luxury, oceanfront vacation rental with private swimming pool and hot tub, located near Hilo on the Puna Peninsula of the Big Island.
Rivers Of Lava Escape New Vent In Hawaii
New fissures in the Pu'u o'o vent have spawned several outbreaks of lava flows since June 27, 2014. Paradise Helicopters flew filmmaker, Michael Lienau, visitors from Australia and GNI reporter, Jeff Rogers to the new vent.
USGS says that though these are vigorous flows, no homes in Puna or Hilo are endangered.

This mesmerising video shows lava being thrown up from Fissure 17 in Pahoa, Hawaii just off the 132 highway.
The amazing video and pictures were captured by photographer, Joseph Anthony, 44 who grew up in the UK.
He is currently in an exclusion zone set up by the National Guard are working together with the United States Geological Survey, the Hawaii Fire Department and the National Park Service.
The Fissure 17 has only just recently opened and is slowly moving towards the East coast of Hawaii.
Pictures also show the National Guard using equipment to measure sulphur dioxide gasses in the air.
Hawaiian authorities have sealed off the area and are getting increasingly alarmed as the level of the crater lake of Kilauea has dropped so much, it is hard to measure the level and once the lava level goes below the water table, it may cause an explosion of fallen rocks and trapped steam.

CSAV Hawaii: Kaimu Beach & Queens Bath 1986
Rare footage of the Big Island in 1986 & 1987: Kaimu Black Sand Beach & Queens Bath, BEFORE lava.
In 1986, Hurricane Estelle sent huge waves over roads along the Puna coastline. High-quality Beta tape was used to document the damage; in the process, footage of beloved Kaimu Beach was included. Then, in 1987, Kapaahu residents needed to evacuate as lava flows approached; again, events were recorded on Beta tapes, including Queens Bath.
The Beta tapes have been carefully edited to show only the beauty of this magnificent coastline, before lava flows covered the area. This video shows no burning houses, no roads getting covered, no ocean entry. There is only a single second of lava.
Everything was shot in 1987, except for the Hurricane Estelle footage of 1986, which runs from 00:23 to 01:14. Reference points: Kaimu Black Sand Beach begins at 00:00. Drainpipes surfing area is at 00:44. Harry K Brown Park is at 00:59. Queens Bath begins at 1:51.

Hōlei Sea Arch - Natural Arch (Volcanoes National Park, Big Island, Hawaii)
We drove all the way down Volcanoes National Park to see the Hōlei Sea Arch. I must admit, I think the journey to the Hōlei Sea Arch was better than the Hōlei Sea Arch itself lol. We saw Nene (Hawaiian state bird) and many unique old lava flows. Amazing journey!! When you get to Hōlei Sea Arch, you have to turn back because the road is closed due to lava flow. You can optionally park and walk, but you cannot drive any further. To see lava, you need to drive around and visit from Pahoa.

Lower East Rift Zone Eruption
The intermittent eruption of lava in the Leilani Estates subdivision in the lower East Rift Zone of Kīlauea Volcano continues. The location of activity today was focused on the southwest portion of the area.
This morning, two new fissure segments broke ground. The first (fissure 11) opened in a forested southwest of Leilani Estates about 9:30 am and was active for only 3 hours. The second (fissure 12) opened about 12:20 between older fissures 10 and 11. By 3:15 pm, both new fissures were in active but the west end of fissure 10 was steaming heavily.
Cracks on Highway 130 widened from 7 cm to 8 cm over the course of the day and additional cracks were found just west of the highway on trend with the eruptive fissures.
For map of recent features discussed above, see
Rates of seismicity and deformation changed little throughout the day.
Gas emissions likely remain elevated in the vicinity of fissures.
Residents should remain informed and heed Hawaii County Civil Defense closures, warnings, and messages (
For maps showing the locations of eruption features, please see
For information on volcanic air pollution, please see:
HVO geologists will be in the area overnight to track and report to Hawaii County Civil Defense on the activity, and other scientists are closely tracking the volcano's overall activity using various monitoring data streams.
Kīlauea Volcano Summit
Tiltmeters at the summit of Kīlauea Volcano continue to record the deflationary trend of the past several days and the lava lake level continues to drop. Rockfalls from the steep crater walls into the retreating lake continue to produce occasional ashy plumes above Halema'uma'u crater. These plumes are expected to continue.
Earthquake activity in the summit remains elevated but has decreased over the past few days. Many of these earthquakes are related to the ongoing subsidence of the summit area and earthquakes beneath the south flank of the volcano.
This message will be updated tomorrow morning or earlier should conditions change.

Driving into the Lava Devastation Zone in Hawaii Island’s Lower Puna District
It’s 5:29 p.m. I’m heading toward the lava devastation zone here in the Puna District of Hawaii Island. Going through a strange area called Hawaiian Acres. Tried to find this cave called Kilauea Caverns of Fire but where it was marked on Google Maps was a dirt 4X4 road; no signs or anything. Now I’m driving southbound on 8 Road and looking for a left turn in 2.3 miles onto F Road. Very thick foliage in here, not all that many homes. A really bizarre area with lots of bumps on this undulating road. I’m taking a shortcut to Pahoa, gateway into the devastation zone. As of this morning. Hawaii 130 and 137 reopened to traffic. For the last several weeks, those roads were restricted to residents and emergency personnel.
I want to get into the devastation zone to see if it will be possible tonight to hike to the river of lava flowing about 6 miles from Kilauea Volcano Fissure 8 to the Pacific Ocean.
I reach Hawaii 130 and pass through Pahoa, then go by the Hawaii County Emergency Operations Center 5 miles from Fissure 8.
At the Hawaii 132 junction, I turn left and head eastbound. If it weren’t for the lava flows, you could drive 8.4 miles on this highway to the Cape Kumuhahi lighthouse at the easternmost point of Hawaii island.
After a couple miles on Hawaii 132, I reach a checkpoint. I stop at the roadblock to inquire with a Hawaii County police officer about the current road closures. The checkpoint is 1.5 miles west of Lava Tree State Monument.

INSIDE THE AYAHUASCA ENTERPRISE
Inside the Ayahuasca Enterprise
This recorded conversation, set to graphics, goes behind the scenes of the illegal “ayahuasca” drug trafficking enterprise. People at risk, especially young men and women searching for their own identities and meaning in life, have no idea about the darkness that surrounds this alleged “fast track to God.” The hallucinogenic “journey” and “religious rituals” is fueled by covert operators connected to the CIA who made and brought LSD to college students and war protestors during the 1960s and 70s. Then they brought cocaine and meth to urban America.
This “ayahuasca”–dimethyltryptamine or “DMT”–is the new “designer LSD.” And here is a insiders’ view from both ends of the public opinion spectrum.
Investigative journalist Sherri Kane’s house on the Big Island of Hawaii was stolen by the “hoasca” drug kingpin, Paul J. Sulla, Jr., reputed to be among America’s most corrupt lawyers. Sulla stole Kane’ and her partner’s 27-acre Steam Vent Inn & Health Retreat where Sulla’s mob operates manufacturing “hoasca tea” and shipping it across the U.S. and overseas.
Kane’s partner is one of the most respected humanitarian natural medicine activists in the world, Dr. Leonard G. Horowitz. Together, they have been fighting Sulla’s corruption in five court cases for the past decade.
Kane talks here to Sulla’s leading DMT extraction chemist, whose name is withheld. The defrauded expert explains to Kane everything ongoing in Sulla’s “hoasca” manufacturing and trafficking enterprise. He was clueless about the illegality of his complicity, until Kane tells him about the actual U.S. Supreme Court ruling that only permits DMT importation under license, not domestic manufacturing and interstate trafficking.
Kane hopes Sulla and his agents who now possesses her and the doctor’s home, especially ayahuasca con artist Marc Shackman from England, go to jail. Marc Shackman’s illegal drug church was previously shut down by the Feds in 2016, in Washington State, and then Sulla brought him to Pahoa to live in the stolen steam vent inn. Washington State did not want him doing it there, so why should Hawaii want him?
Listen, watch, and learn about the illegal occupation of Dr. Horowitz’s Steam Vent Spa in Pahoa, renamed by Sulla, “Pele’s Breath,” where musical event producer Chris Berry knowingly works with these criminals to defraud the public into supporting “Flow Fest 2019″ and other “Consciousness Raising” musical events on the stolen property.
Berry and Shackman deceive naive concert-goers, inn visitors, and hoasca “church” members claiming they know noting about Sulla’s enterprise in stolen property and drug trafficking. Berry and Shackman now advertised to accommodate “ayahuasca tourism” and get-stoned and trip-out concert-goers while trespassing on Dr. Horowitz’s and Kane’s lands, financing the thieves who stole the couple’s properties. State and federal agents are supposed to return their property, shown here, to them. Let’s pray that they do, and support them by spreading this video online.
Make copies of this 17-minute segment, and tell others to view it as a public service. Tell everyone you know not to support Sulla’s, Shackman’s, and Berry’s enterprises that are aiding-and-abetting racketeering in organized crimes. And tell people who think DMT/ayahuasca is “rad” to get their heads examined by a good shrink.
For sure, NEVER drink “huasca tea” sourced from Sulla’s illegal operation in Hawaii. Do everything you can to shut it down.
And check out Paul J. Sulla, Jr’s 75 entities, mostly named after Ayahusaca, allegedly for laundering the drug money through stolen real estate.
Google the name Paul J. Sulla Jr to learn more about this menace to the Big Island of Hawaii. And contact law enforcement to find out why they allow him to roam free to continue to harm the community.

HAWAII TODAY - Kilauea volcano eruption (July 1, 2019)
Hawaii today News (July 1, 2019). Kilauea volcano eruption. Then and now! 2018 LERZ eruption in Hawaii. That time when the lava river above Green Mountain looked like a veritable sea of lava. My friend is throwing his house keys into the lava river, after losing his home to the biggest eruption on Kilauea Volcano in over 200 years. This eruption is now over, but for many, recovery will take a lifetime.
