Steep Ravine cabins Vlog
I made this vlog to remind myself of this great lil trip I went on. I filmed this on a 16,000 year old point and shoot camera and edited it using imovie so the quality is pretty badd. Another note, you cannot comprehend half of the things I'm saying & I kind of sound insane. Anyway, enjoy the video.

5-26-15 - Day 28 - Mt Tamalpais Camping - California
VERTIGO ALERT!!! We drive up the twisty road to Mt. Tamalpais, California, to camp for the night. You are limited to size for campers/RVs. The camp spot has modern toilets and that is about all. The camping is actually for tents on the hill side but vans and RV's camp in the parking lot.

Steep Ravine Trail 12/24/15
One of the most scenic trails in the Bay Area. Lush vegetations, old redwood groves, stream with many water falls, wooden bridges. You can walk out to Stinson Beach a mile away from the Steep Ravine - Dipsea junction. From the parking lot heading northeast you can also hike to Muir Woods less than 2 miles away.

Mt.Tamalpais State Park, Info Mtg.-Easy Grade Tr.Conversion, Mill Valley,CA 3/12/16
Shown here is the first 7min-45sec of the meeting, up to the beginning of the Q&A. For the following.
The conversion of the Easy Grade Hiking Trail in Mt.Tamalpais State Park is a very controversial issue between the mountain biking, hiking and environmental communities.
CA State Park's were responsive to this controversy in sending four CA State Park professionals to the above meeting to explain the paperwork requirements and those processes needed to enable construction to begin.
The first half of that approval process is over and approved. The CEQA (CA Envir.Qual.Act) process is underway now. Public comment period is unknown thought to be before July 1, 2016.
The above Presentation was given by:
Alexandra Stehl, Calif.Trails Manager,
Victor Bjelajac, Project Manager, Easy Grade Trail Conversion.

A wonderful hike for a clear spring day, when water is rushing down the canyon. The shade will cool you down on the way up. The sun will warm you on the way down. The sound of the stream will make you feel buzzed. Bring a lunch!

Good weather after several days of rain. Was supposed to go to De Young Museum, but nature called me out of cabin fever. Went with my friend Matt, as we both are training for longer and more difficult hikes in a few months.
We started at the Stinson Beach trailhead.
