Best laid plans: Jason tried to get us to ski as a group in front of his GoPro, that lasted for only a couple seconds. Rob drifted right and Jason followed... Rob found this tiny ravine that wormed it's way all the way down... Nice little wormhole said Jason!

Amazing day in the Purcell Mountains.
#shadesofwinter LUCID
In #shadesofwinter LUCID, pro skier & filmmaker Sandra Lahnsteiner’s intense dreams begin to overtake her waking life and she becomes increasingly caught up in flights of deep powder, pillows and ski lines. Her keyed up imagination through lucid dreams becomes her – and our - reality.
LUCID gives us the illusion that we are part of her world, skiing through magical winter sceneries, feeling and tasting the snow. It’s a dream though, and only by making it happen ourselves, the illusion becomes real.
For #shadesofwinter LUCID Sandra teamed up with follow cam masterminds Alexander Ryden (SWE) and Matt Cook (USA). Known for their experimental approach in filmmaking, the duo creates unparalleled perspectives and a thrilling experience for the audience. Stellar Heliskiing out of Kaslo, BC, Canada provided them with a perfect playground for this project. Editor Tim Forsström Jacobsson (SWE) complemented the project.
Transcending the boundaries of imagination, the viewer enters the protagonist’s world and gets dragged away into a world that may or may not be reality. It’s time to open the eyes and make this dream our own.
Her skiing performance in #shadesofwinter LUCID earned Sandra her 6th consecutive nomination for “Best Female Performance” at IF3, Canada and her second at the legendary Powder Awards, USA - being one more time the only European female freeride athlete on those stacked lists.
