Hello Zanzibar - A Day in Stone Town (Zanzibar City, Tanzania)
Zanzibar City is the capital of Zanzibar. There is a very beautiful harbor. There, the waves are often so high that they to
inject into the coffee cups. The most famous district of Zanzibar City located in the center and Stone Town is called. Attention fans of Freddie Mercury, Stone Town is his birthplace. I show you his house. (House number 139) It has already been renovated.
Your also can see the House of Wonders. It was the first house,
had that electricity. Even an elevator had been installed.
Stone Town is since 2000 a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
In the old town, the streets are very narrow. Over the heads are located venturesome lines for electricity and water. This area is also famous for its great doors. The first stone building was erected here 1698th The narrow streets are full of life. Many artists and craftsmen live here. Gradually the historic homes are renovated. Many shine again in its old glory, others do not look very good. Stone Town is a place that exudes a lot of history.

Zanzibar is a Tanzanian archipelago off the coast of East Africa. On its main island, Unguja, familiarly called Zanzibar, is Stone Town, a historic trade center with Swahili and Islamic influences. Its winding lanes present minarets, carved doorways and 19th-century landmarks such as the House of Wonders, a former sultan’s palace. The northern villages Nungwi and Kendwa have wide beaches lined with hotels.

A Tour of Stone Town, Zanzibar
Stonetown is not to be missed when in Tanzania! Visit this beautiful city before or after you hit the beach!
Stone Town isn’t your typical African town; it is a celebrated area where you can wander for hours through a maze of narrow streets and architectural angle, easily losing yourself in centuries of history. It is a sensory experience not to be found anywhere else in the world as each twist and turn brings something new — a Persian bathhouse, a former palace, exquisite gardens, or even a coral-stone mansion with ornately-carved doors and high-reaching balconies… all of it hugging the Indian Ocean. Once you arrive, you can tell almost immediately that Stone Town has stories to tell!

STONE TOWN ZANZIBAR???????????? (UNESCO World Heritage Site) — Africa Trip Travel Vlog 12 (Tanzania)
Greetings from Zanzibar! Just a few hours ago we did a quick lunch in Stone Town, about an hour from the east coast of the island and Pweza Beach bungalows where we are staying.
We see some tourist sights and had some tapas at Taperia restaurant, some of the best food I've had here. Enjoy!
