The most beautiful cities in the world - Zanzibar City
Zanzibar City (or Zanzibar Town, often simply referred to as Zanzibar) is the capital and largest city of Zanzibar, in Tanzania. It is located on the west coast of Unguja, the main island of the Zanzibar Archipelago, roughly due north of Dar es Salaam across the Zanzibar Channel.
Zanzibar City comprises two main parts, Stone Town and Ng'ambo (literally: The Other Side); the two areas are historically divided by a creek, now marked by a large street called Creek Road. Stone Town is the historical core of the city, former capital of the Zanzibar Sultanate; because of its unique architecture and culture, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000. Ng'ambo is a much larger, modern area that developed around Stone Town after the Zanzibar Revolution, with office buildings and large apartment blocks such as those of the Michenzani neighbourhood.
Zanzibar also has beautiful beaches, palm-fringed islands and extraordinarily beautiful coral reefs as tourist attractions. Various water sports are also popular in the city. The Stone Town is a historical heritage site, which has colorful markets, meandering roads and extravagant bazaars. The city has a rich and varied culture.

Travel Zanzibar, Tanzania - Stone Town in Zanzibar
Take a tour of Stone Town in Zanzibar, Tanzania -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions series by GeoBeats.
One unassuming coastal town in Tanzania has more to it than a quick glance reveals.
They call it Stone Town, and it's actually the old part of Zanzibar.
This historic part of town has many stone houses and buildings from the 19th century.
Many of these buildings feature beautifully carved wooden and brass-studded doors.
Also in Stone Town is a stirring stone monument to those taken in the slave trade.
Some of the largest stone buildings are the churches, with elegant arches and windows.
Stone Town was once an important port on the Indian Ocean, and still has much to do.
What is ZANZIBAR (Tanzania)?!
HELLO!! Sorry you haven’t heard from me in a few days... I’ve been having WAY too much fun on this beautiful (and seriously underrated) island called ZANZIBAR in TANZANIA to kick off my 2 month, 14-country Africa trip.
Did you know that the phrase “Hakuna Matata” (from the Lion King) actually means “No Worries” in Swahili?! Moreover, did you know that Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of Queen, was born and raised here? There’s so much more uniqueness to this island that I can’t wait to share with you!
I’ve spent the last 3 days in Zanzibar with a few of my best friends from home and a new local friend, Mandela. I cannot believe how perfect these white sand beaches are, combined with a very simple life, lots of fresh fruit (PINEAPPLES) and Rastafarian beach parties — I could easily spend a few months here.
In this video, I aim to educate you about the diverse history of Zanzibar, show you some fun activities happening around the island, and tell you what to expect if you are planning to come here.
Have you ever been to Zanzibar?
Music: Audio Autix
P.S - Watch until the very end to learn some Swahili words!!!

*Watch in HD - Melia Hotel Zanzibar Review
Melia Hotel is a luxury all-inclusive beach resort on the northeast coast of the exotic island of Zanzibar, also known as the Spice Island.
I'm so glad that our company chose Melia as our official hotel to stay-in at Zanzibar. It as pleasure working everyday if you are going to stay in this luxurious hotel.
I would also like to commend all of the employees of Melia for a job well done. From check-in till check-out, they're all applaudable, super accommodating, and YES a 5-star service it is!
Right now, all I have in my mind is to go back to Melia, to Zanzibar to know more about their culture; and next time, visit the very famous Stone Town which is by the way one of UNESCO's world heritage site.
To know more about Melia Hotel Zanzibar, you can check out their official site below:
