Stourbridge: Where I grew up
This is a quick tour of Stourbridge - a town near Birmingham, in England. Before we moved to Australia I grew up here, so I thought I'd torture my wife and daughter by dragging them round some of my old haunts.
Join us as we take in such delights as the alley where I smoked during school breaks and the leisure centre where I projectile vomited over my mate's head into a bush after an underage drinking session.

A car journey in Stourbridge: from Amblecote, by the Amblecote-Wordsley Methodist Church, to the drive of The Wordsley School (formerly Buckpool School). The background of Christian music, on the car CD player, is sung by the late Keith Green (I'll wear out my Keith Green CDs the amount they get played). This video was shot at around 8.15 am on Tuesday, 14 July 2009.

Stourbridge multi storey demolition
The old Stourbridge multi storey carpark was blown up today on Sunday 1st April 2012 at exactley 10:00 am. Was an impressive sight but I have admit I'm sad to see it go. This was filmed by myself on Lion street.

The project is to build in situ a full size Replica of the Stourbridge Lion to stand at the end of the shortest commercial railway line in the world in Stourbridge. Time scale before July 2012
May be made to actually work powered by electric motor or possibly solar powered?.
It will be made where possible from scrap and salvaged parts.

Tidy Stourbridge,TidyStourbridge is a new campaign to remove litter off the streets, parks and public spaces of our town, and follows in the footsteps of a Twitter campaign by @StourbridgeDump (now closed) which was widely reported in the press highlighting some of the worst aspects of Stourbridge.
The group is a volunteer led association of like minded people who care for our town, and who don't wish to watch it disappear under a growing layer bottles, cans and fast food packaging. The group hopes to work with the people of Stourbridge to keep on top of this mess, and even work to prevent the build up of mess in the first instance.
We invite people to volunteer from time to time to assist us. We plan to organise community litter picks, but it won't just be hard work, for we plan to make it fun and also a social activity. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and forge long lasting friendships.
