Tokyo Japan day: Ikebukuro 池袋 Aquarium at Sunshine City サンシャインシティ
Sunshine City (サンシャインシティ Sanshain Shiti) is a building complex located in East Ikebukuro, Toshima, Tokyo. It is Tokyo's oldest city within the city and has the 240 meter tall Sunshine 60 skyscraper at its center.
We came here looking for the Mega Pokemon Center, which we found, and saw there was an aquarium at Sunshine city and decided to go.
It was a Saturday and it was raining so the aquarium was pretty crowded. I would go on a week day if you can. It cost 2200 yen about $20 to go in. We waited about 30 min to go up the elevator and another 15 or so minutes to actually go in the aquarium. It may be shorter on weekdays.

The Sunshine Aquarium calls itself an ‘Oasis in the Sky’
Its open-air zone, ‘Marine Garden’ was reopened after renovations on July 12, 2017.
A 12m wide tank set up 40m above ground can be viewed from below
This ‘Penguin in the sky’ display sees penguins that live in southern Africa swim around among high-rises
just as if they were flying through the sky.
Usually flightless, these penguins really upset the odds!
It’s a truly out-there, all-new urban experience!

Japan adventure : Day 12 Sunshine City Aquarium Tokyo! 2015
Its almost the end of our holiday in Japan D: this was an awesome day. I am totally terrified of water and the ocean and all the things in it, (also known as thalassophobia!) but i like to push my self to not be afraid of anything XD The aquarium was really pretty and it had a lot of interesting things to look at. Also terrifying fish and dark tunnels... I hope you guys enjoy this video and look forward to the next one, Odaiba!
