A day-trip from Sapporo to the eastern Hokkaido town of Kushiro, 350km by train. From there a bus ride north into the Kushiro Shitsugen National Park to the village of Tsuruimidai, to see the very rare and famous Dancing Cranes aka Japanese Cranes aka Tancho -- official name Red-crowned Crane, sp. Grus japonensis. 09 December 2011.

Not for free, here you will pay ¥500 to have access and photograph the Red-Crowned Cranes and swans and ducks and whatever else has wings???? but there is a cute museum on site with lots of insight about the life of Cranes and also lots of goodies and souvenirs to buy, there's a cafe too Here they have opening and closing time and in that sense the other place Ito Tancho Sanctuary is the BEST in Hokkaido and free of charge!!! But it was nice for a change and had fun in the museum too, more than I expected!! Now I really hope to come here in June-July when the babies are hatched out and strolling around!!

[Travel Hokkaido] Akan International Crane Center 阿寒国際ツルセンター
I tried to go to Akan Tantyou no sato Road Station.
From the Akan Expressway, it is a station on the way which arrives in about 10 to 15 minutes.
At the road station, there is Akan International Crane Center, and in winter, about 200 cranes are coming every year for overwintering.
In the road station, a day-trip hot spring facility and the Kushiro Wetland Art Museum · park golf · park etc. are also adjoining and it is the best place for a driving break, a rest room break, and a playground when children are tired.
In Akan Marche where you can enjoy shopping, you can buy various items such as meat, fish, vegetables, sweets, so your wife enjoys shopping and fathers and children may experience experiencing at other facilities Right.

道の駅阿寒丹頂の里へ寄ってみました。
高速道路阿寒から、10分から15分程度で着くところにある道の駅です。
道の駅には、阿寒国際ツルセンターがあり冬になると、毎年200羽ほどの鶴が越冬のためにくるようです。
道の駅には、日帰り温泉施設や釧路湿原美術館・パークゴルフ・公園なども隣接されており運転の休憩・トイレ休憩・子供が疲れた時の遊び場としても最適の場所になります。
買い物が楽しめる阿寒マルシェでは、肉や魚・野菜・お菓子など色々な物が買えますので、奥様方はショッピングを楽しみお父さんや子供たちは他の施設で体験学習などするのもいいかもしれませんね。

เป็นพิพิธภัณฑ์ที่จัดแสดงเกี่ยวกับนกกะเรียนและระบบนิเวศน์ที่เกี่ยวข้อง และยังเป็นศูนย์เพาะขยายพันธุ์ด้วย โดยแบ่งออกเป็น 2 โซน คือโซนพิพิธภัณฑ์และ โซนลานหญ้าด้านนอกซึ่งในฤดูหนาวนกกะเรียนจะอพยพมาอาศัยอยู่บริเวณนี้

阿寒湖氷上フェスティバル この日、阿寒湖では最低気温が-23度あたり、日中の最高気温が-12度といったところでした。当然湖面は凍結し、ある場所は駐車場に、ある場所はスケートリンクに、又ある場所はワカサギ釣りの会場になり、残った広い湖面ではバナナボートやＡＴＶ、スノーモービルなどに乗ることができます
