Concerns and uncertainties rise in search of the perfect experience
Whan we got to knew Hzaron and talked to him over the phone we started getting excited
We were 22 days total which means 14 days in Tanzania and another 8 days in Zanzibar
We did 12 days in safaris, reservations, lodges
We saw so many spectacular and rare sights that we returned home with a desire for more
Peso (the guide who was with us) was attentive to every request ,he is very experienced and professional, he is also very knowledgeable in the wild world (he has 30 years of experience as a tourist guide) They were very considerate of the fact that this is our honeymoon and it is an old dream come true and made above and beyond for us to be satisfied

Tanzania
Tanzania is a gift, a compelling tale told around the campfire. Tanzania is the prize, unrivalled in its natural abundance.
Each year, across the gold brushed plains of the Serengeti hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebra meld into one long unbroken chain of animals moving across the plains with but a single purpose...to follow the rains to greener grasses. This ritual has been reenacted for millennia. Our own human history tracks back to the stony footsteps of our early ancestors at Olduvai Gorge. In addition to the legendary Serengeti, Tanzania offers such gems as Africa's highest mountain, Kilimanjaro; the largest wildlife sanctuary, Selous; and deepest lake, Tanganyika. The Ngorongoro Crater is unique in all the world, an ancient caldera that looks like a giant bowl filled with a hearty selection of nearly every type of East African animal. To the north lie the lush landscapes of Lake Manyara, famed for superb birdlife, and nearby Tarangire National Park offers breathtaking views of the Masaai Steppe and the mountains to the south. Southern Tanzania is Old Africa at its finest. Its remote national parks -- Ruaha, Katavi, Mikumi and Udzungwa Forest, often called the African Galapagos, yield priceless rewards of spectacular solitude and closeness to nature rarely experienced anymore. The Southern Highlands offer the chance to learn about life in the country at a private estate. Miles of white sand beaches on the islands of Zanzibar invite relaxation. Today, private conservancies are leading the way in stepping up to the challenges of sustainability as more travelers begin to discover this tantalizing safari destination. Big Five endorses the use of private conservancies as they work to protect Tanzania's exceptional wildness regions while at the same time offering unprecedented opportunities for health, education and employment to local communities and outstanding safari experiences to our guests. Tanzania is archetypal Africa, and measures taken today can have a positive and profound result on the future of this stellar destination.

Today we had a free day before starting the Kilimanjaro trek, so we decided to take the Hotel Dala Dala(Minibus) Shuttle into Moshi Town and do some exploration.
We were adviced by the Hotel to take a Hotel guide , which could with stand all the Fly catchers, however we decided to go on our own, a decision we did not regret although we followed by a comapny of 10 people at the end :-)
We hired one of the sales guys reagan to talk us through the market and show us the Moshi City Town, It was an very nice experience but not maybe for people with weak nerves. Hakuna matata is the way to go :-)

Why Visit Tanzania?
In the summer I travelled to Tanzania on an Outlook Expedition. I met 4 lads from different schools around the country who were sound. Despite our Expedition leader being terrible, and being a hypocrite throughout the trip, it was an amazing and rewarding trip. This is some of the clips I gathered from my camera with one battery meaning I unfortunately didn't get any of when we met the Masiah trip. Enjoy....

An Update on Colored Gem Mining in Tanzania
This film was made to accompany the article An Update On Coloured Gemstone Mining in Tanzania, written by Vincent Pardieu and Wim Vertriest and first published by Gems & Gemology following a GIA field expedition to Tanzania in July 2016. The field expedition set out to collect samples of ruby, sapphire and spinel for the GIA reference collection as well as gather information about the current mining activity there. It was a trip made thanks to Vincent Pardieu, Gemological Institute of America, Chris Hood of Metal Urges, Tasmania, Mark Saul of Swala Gems and our guide and gem broker Justin Mmbaga. Thanks also to team members Wim Vertriest, (geologist and gemologist) Floriane Duret (geologist and gemologist) and Marie Lemoux.

TANZANIA EXPEDITION 2016
I traveled from Switzerland to Tanzania with my school, La Côte International School, to discover and help out the community.
We stayed at the beautiful Shamba Kipara Camp, with many other Nord Anglia schools from around the world.
During our expedition we plastered the walls of a house that was being built for two teachers and their families, so that they would not have to travel far to get to school to teach the children.
We started building another house for the same purpose, right next to the one we were plastering. We made the base for the bricks and then started laying the bricks to build the walls.
On the fourth day we went on a two-day safari were we saw numerous beautiful animals. We stayed in tents next to the wild life, were we heard baboons, lions, elephants, and other wild animals during the night.
Once we got back from the safari we visited a Masai village, then got back to work and placed solar panels for houses that had never had electricity before. We built goat sheds outside of their houses, and built desks for the children at the school we were working near to.
Most days we had lunch at an orphanage where we met many wonderful children full of life and happiness.
This expedition was the most enriching experience I have ever had. Tanzania is a beautiful country that I hope I will be going back to.
