7 Of The BEST FOODS in TBILISI GEORGIA! | Trying GEORGIAN FOOD ????????
We've been living in Tbilisi Georgia for nearly a month and, unlike other places, we've eaten Georgian food every single day. Because the food in Tbilisi is AMAZING!
In today's video - and my final travel vlog from Georgia, sob! - I want to show you some of my favourite Georgian foods as we head our for our final dinner in Tbilisi. I didn't know what to expect when we arrived in Georgia in any way, but I wish I'd known how good the food is! I'll definitely be looking for Georgian restaurants and more chances to try Georgian food on my travels from now on.
In this food video, we try seven of our the best foods in Tbilisi. Here they are in order:
1 - Eggplant rolls with walnut
2 - Satsivi (with salmon)
3 - Tolma
4 - Soko ketse - mushrooms with cheese
5 - Khachapuri/Georgian pizza
6 - Khinkali
7 - Mtsvadi
If you ever travel to Tbilisi Georgia, these are just some of the Georgian foods you NEED to try. The only one we didn't have in this video was beans in a pot, but check out the linked card to see that.
As always, thank you for watching! I hope you've enjoyed these Georgia vlogs as much as I've enjoyed making them for you. And I'll see you in Crete!

Our MOST INTERESTING Food Tour + Tbilisi Sulfur Bath Experience
Travel vlog 542 // Tbilisi, Georgia // Country #78 // We planned our own food tour by making a list of 9 traditional Georgian foods to try all in one day. Highlights include teaching our friend Charlie how to eat khinkali & visiting a local market where a Georgian lady took us under her wing and let us try everything at her stall (including homemade Cha Cha). The rest of the day didn’t go as planned, but we tried to make up for it by showing you our traditional Georgian sulfur bath experience ;)

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling. So we extended our 1 year trip to THREE years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)
Trying 7 of the Best Georgian Food in TBILISI, GEORGIA ????????
Trying the best of Georgian cuisine at Stelzen Haus, Erekle II Street, Tbilisi, Georgia.
I wasn't able to give justice to Stelzen Haus and their food (apologies from my palate), but please check the youtube video in the link below, because they did. :)
We found this vlog featuring 7 of the best Georgian food, so we tried too. :) Unfortunately, we didn’t have the same palate, we didn’t enjoy as much as they did. I loved the green salad, chicken mtsvadi, khachapuri (just salty) and the dessert. Maybe if we chose a different filling for the khinkali, I would have loved all of it. The clay pot mushroom was a bit strong in flavor (feels like eating a raw one), but it was only me. Deb enjoyed it though. :) Still, definitely worth trying. :)

Georgian Food Taste Test - 5 dishes to try in Kiev, Ukraine travel food video transcript:
So it is lunchtime here in Kiev. We've been here in the city
for about a week and today we've decided to take you for Georgian food because we've noticed Georgian cuisine (ქართული სამზარეულო) is super popular in the city there's actually
this one street where there's like a whole bunch of Georgian restaurants right next to each other so we figured we need to make a food video. We're on our way for lunch. And this is how you cross busy streets in Kiev and Sam is a man on a mission marching towards the Georgian restaurant.
So what do we know about Georgian food? Well we've never actually traveled to Georgia at least not yet so we're not
that familiar with this food. But what we do know is that Georgian cuisine is a mix of European and Middle Eastern influences. The first thing has arrived and that is my Georgian red wine it is a Saperavi a dry red wine.
Yes, so ordered a Georgian salad here and it has basic ingredients. It's just tomatoes, cucumbers and onions and you can see all those quite clearly. And it comes with a kind of a nutty walnut dressing.
Time for the next course and I'm actually gonna have to read the name for this one because it's a little complicated. It's called Badrijani Nigvzit (ბადრიჯანი). And this is eggplant rolls with a walnut paste and it just looks beautiful. Basically they cook the walnut until it's soft and then they roll it up with a walnut paste that also has spices and vinegar.
The next dish is here it is the Khachapuri (ხაჭაპური) and it comes with Sulguni cheese (სულგუნი) which is similar to mozzarella. Basically if you take a look over here this kind of looks like a like a Georgian pizza. It's even been sliced like one it's sliced like little triangles.
It's very filling it's very dense so yeah if you're looking to get filled up eating Georgian food (ქართული სამზარეულო) you'll definitely want to order this with one of your dishes.
Next up we are trying dolma (tolma: ტოლმა) which if you have a look over here it's basically like a grape leaf that has been stuffed with minced beef rice some spices and it comes with this white
sauce it almost looks like I don't know some yogurt or sour cream based sauce.
We are having four different Georgian desserts so I don't
know the names of these individually so I'm just gonna read them right off the menu. So we are having Bagrationi (Napoleon). No, bagriationi. Yes. Pastilla Gozinaki (გოზინაყი) and baked cookies with pelamushi (ფელამუში) and custard I've actually seen this
called like a Napoleon (Наполеонний торт - ნაპოლეონის ნამცხვარი) or Napolitan.
Here is the letter from Mama Manana (Mama Mahaha). It came to 819 which is 31 US dollars

Trying STREET FOOD in TBILISI GEORGIA! | Georgian Food Vlog
Take even a short tour of Tbilisi and you'll probably notice the amount of amazing street food spots around. After two weeks of living in Tbilisi Georgia, we decided it was time to try some of the local Georgian snacks.
Georgian food is so good that Georgia has easily earned a spot in my top 3 countries for food. But what about the snacks and street food? In this Tbilisi vlog, I'm taste testing whatever food I come across as I walk around the streets of Tbilisi.
Join me as I try some of the Tbilisi street food including churchkhela, lobiani, ice cream rolls, pomegranate juice and bubble waffles. Yum! If you've ever been to Tbilisi I'd love to know what foods you enjoyed and what you think I should try next.
As always, thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed this video! I'll be filming at least a few more videos here in Georgia over the next couple of weeks so make sure you're subscribed to see them all. There will be more of Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, more adventures and of course there will be more Georgian food!

Update from Tbilisi in Georgia!! & Georgian Food!!
Last day/evening in Tbilisi, the capital of the country Georgia!! This is a little update why I didn't publish so much on the internet in the last week! Also I try some nice Georgian food (Elarji) with friends!!
Basically I had this strong feeling that I didn't want to push my channel in the last week, and that I wanted to find what's my niche, and also find out (!) what I'm running away from on my travels. Yes, I believe after what I experience this last week, I think I'm running away from something within. I didn't bring up this topic in the video, but to me it's pretty much clear. This is one of the things that had a bigger focus during that hiatus, and I'll continue traveling internally to find out what this is exactly. For sure I'm traveling externally too. Thanks for reading, and don't hesitate to drop a comment!! About this running away thing or this video, or what you want to see on this channel in the future!!

EATING KHINKALI in Tbilisi, the traditional Georgian dumpling
We stop in the House of Khinkali (ხინკლის სახლი რუსთაველზე), a Georgian restaurant in Tbilisi to taste the most delicious and traditional Georgian food: khinkali, a type of dumpling which is usually fill with meat or vegetables.
In our case we picked a mix of beef, sheep and mushrooms khinkali.
A delicious experience despite the noisy ambient of the restaurant, which was like having dinner in a dancing club.
