15,000 feet Skydive over Lake Taupo, New Zealand
20th of December, 2012. The next day the world was supposed to end, so why not jump out of a perfectly good airplane? I asked the camera guy to fist bump with me in mid-air :)
The skydive was made over Lake Taupo. With Taupo Tandem Skydiving, who captured all the footage. Afterwards I reedited the video and put it here for y'all to see.
It took about 1 minute before the parachute was opened, and then another 4-5 minutes until we hit the ground.

Taupo Tandem Skydive in New Zealand
12000ft tandem skydive with Letski (Arnaud Leduc). First time skydive - there were basically 2 options to choose for record keeping: selfie mode or having another professional video you. This video is made from the selfie mode. Given that info - the video is made by the skydive company. Don't want to cut the footages as they spent so much time making it. Sorry for the long intro. The dive off the plane starts around 02:55

Skydive in Taupo with Taupo Tandem Skydiving overlooking the Tongariro National Park. An amazing adventure for young and old that has to be experienced at least once in a lifetime. What a feeling falling at 200 km/h from up to 15000 feet right over Lake Taupo the largest lake in Australasia looking as far as the fabled Mount Doom from Lord of the Rings. This trailer was shot by New York based Alex Nicks.

SO. MANY. BIRTHDAY (WEEK). ADVENTURES!!!!!!!!
I turned 30 this year. That's right! 30 years old, and I couldn't be happier with where I am in life. Who would have imagined that I would be jobless and living out of a minivan at this age? (Let's be honest, being adventureViV doesn't pay me the big bucks... yet! Want to help us get paid? Watch and share our videos!)
Instead of money, I am being paid in life experiences. We grow richer by the day as we stimulate our minds and souls with new challenges in new places. Time really does fly when you're having fun!
For my 30th birthday,
my CameraMan spoiled me with lots of memorable birthday adventures, which he, of course, documented. (Thanks, CameraMan! You're the BEST!)
Agrodome
Growing up near NYC, and then living in NYC for my adult life, I never interacted with farm animals. And so, for my 30th birthday, I learn how to... milk a cow!
Giant Balls
Justin likes to say that I just turned 30... going on 18... but maybe it's really going on 8. Watch as I roll down a beautiful, grassy hill. In a GIANT BALL! I'm in the ball!
Whaka Village
What's another year older, without another year wiser? I wanted to include a cultural experience to learn more about the indigenous population of New Zealand. Follow us on a tour of a living Maori village, and watch as they perform the traditional Haka.
Redwood Forest
What an incredibly magical experience! The morning mist made combined with golden lighting created magical moments suspended in the air. Treat yo'self to a healthy dose of FOREST BATHING.
Wai-O-Tapu
Have you ever seen boiling, bubbling mud? It's weird.
(Just watch. It's mesmerizing.)
Skydiving over Lake Taupo
Finally! THE birthday adventure! Who else has gotten picked up in a bright yellow Hummer and then jumped out of a plane from 15,000 feet in the sky???
Experience one of the most life-changing moments with me, as I fall 200kph for 10,000 feet, before opening the parachute :)
Shoutouts
Thank YOU for wishing me a very happy birthday! And for buying wine for a good cause!
