Makalu Tea House Trek - Nepal 2018
Trekking in Nepal is Fabulous and now the Makalu Base Camp Trek is doable as an independent Tea House Trek. See the journey moredaysoff makes from Kathmandu via bus and jeep (3 days). Then follow the 15 day trek up to Mighty Mt. Makalu base camp through the Arun and Barun valleys.Notice the lack of other trekkers. Upon returning to Kathmandu we saw evidence of earthquake damage and rebuilding still present.
Check out the bog for further info on the Tea houses and trek logistics.

Hiking Annapurna Nepal Video Donkeys on Suspension Bridge Overnight Trekking Accommodation Tea House
My previous Nepal video ( showed me leaving Pokhara for the start of my 10 day Annapurna hike to Annapurna Base Camp, yes I am trekking in the Himalayas. There are lots of tea houses, accommodation and restaurants on this first section of the Annapurna hike which takes me to the suspension bridge at Tikhe Dhunga view point. After stopping for lunch at Amrita Lodge and learning a little about Daal Bhat I continue on the hike with my guide and we trek onwards to Indra Guest House our overnight accommodation at Tikhe Dhunga view point where I meet a convoy of donkeys on the suspension bridge carrying gas bottles. I dump my backpack in my room at Indra Guest House at the end of my first day hiking around Annapurna to take a look around the beautiful valley and take in some more of the view over the Annapurna mountains before sunset.

Teahouse Lodging on the Everest Base Camp Trek | Trek Tips
➤ Many guests and potential trekkers have questions about the accommodations on the way to Mt. Everest Base Camp. To most, the term teahouse is unfamiliar. In this video, Dean talks a little bit about the teahouses we stay in throughout our trek in the Khumbu Valley and how they become increasingly rustic as the elevation increases and we near Everest Base Camp itself. Enjoy!

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling. So we extended our 1 year trip to THREE years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)
