Tel Dan: Israel's Idols—Just Like Ours
An unheeded warning to ancient Israel should give pause to today's church. No wonder the Apostle John signed off his first letter with, ...keep yourself from idols.

Adventures in Israel - Sea of Galilee, Tel Dan, Capernaum, Sermon on the Mount
Jenny was able to be her mom's travel buddy on a tour in Israel, the Holy Land.
On this day, we awake in the greenest, lush climate in the Valley of the Sea of Galilee. We start the morning at the headwaters of the Jodan River, get awfully close to both Syria and Lebanon. Read the miracles of Jesus while touring Capernaum. Ascend the Mount of Beatitudes, and sail on the Sea of Galilee.

Israel Day 3, Part 1 | Tel Dan & Caesarea Philippi
On this day of our Holy Land trip, we visited the ruins of Tel Dan (where the tribe of Dan settled) and Caesarea Philippi, where Jesus famously asked, Who do you say I am? Hearing that Scripture in the context of where it was said was fascinating!

Galilee Awakening - The Call to Israel { OFFICIAL VISION VIDEO }
THE SETTING AND THE VISION
A voice cries out in the wilderness:
“Prepare the way of Adonai, Make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Every valley will be lifted up, every mountain and hill made low, the rough ground will be a plain and the rugged terrain smooth.
The glory of Adonai will be revealed, and all flesh will see it together.”
For the mouth of Adonai has spoken.
- Isaiah 40:3-5
RESTORING THE TRUE MESSAGE OF THE KINGDOM
To the Dead: COME ALIVE!
To the Blind: SEE!
To the Sick: BE HEALED!
To the Captives, BE FREE!
By Yeshua's authority 2,000 years ago, these declarations carried the power of Life over death. By faith in the power of His name, with the Good News of the Kingdom, 12 Galilean disciples changed the world forever.
As revival started in the Galilee 2,000 years ago, we believe it will happen again--springing forth from the Galilee and flowing out to the Nations.
NOW IS THE TIME.
It is our desire to petition the Almighty God of Israel to pour out His Spirit as in days of old in the Galilee--the setting for most of Yeshua's recorded miracles. We believe that Adonai is building something marvelous in our days that has yet to be revealed in full. We see that He has been strategic in calling people from Israel and the nations to be part of this great vision: Preparing the Way of the King of kings, to welcome Him with one voice, to bear witness to His glory, and to see His redemptive freedom take hold of our communities.
While this vision is so much bigger than us, we are looking to Him for the design of every component of the Galilee Awakening, offering it as a platform to be catalytic to the Lord's moving in our nation and the world. Our full desire is for Adonai to have His way and to give Him a platform to say and do whatever HE wants to do. We are committed to HIS WAYS and HIS plans for this gathering.

3: Tel Dan, 'This thing became a Sin unto them'
God willing, a Youth Conference study tour of the Promised Land is being organized for two weeks in the late spring of 2015. This conference is a study tour and the trip will encompass the following general areas:
the coastal plain;
the Jezreel Valley;
the Galilee;
the Golan Heights
the Jordan Valley;
the Dead Sea;
Jerusalem;
Judea and Samaria.
Target Age & Scope:
The tour will be limited to approximately 40 young people with 5 chaperons/study leaders. The target is Christadelphian young people aged 18-30 years (including married couples), whether baptised or not. The goal is to make the Promised Land Youth Conference as affordable as possible. The tour is geared to bring young people from Christadelphian communities around the world to the land of Israel for an intense study and tour of the land.
Timing
The proposed dates for the first conference are for the group to land in Tel Aviv on Sunday June 7th 2015, and to fly home on Sunday 21st June 2015. Our main consideration in deciding on these dates was the finishing dates for the Universities in England, Canada and the US. Unfortunately the academic year in Australia and New Zealand does not follow the same pattern as the Northern hemisphere, and there were no suitable dates that corresponded. Our secondary consideration was the weather in Israel. Early June is the latest time for a relatively comfortable trip to the Land due to the extreme heat in July and August. However, the weather will still average into the high 20's to mid 30's (Celsius).
Accommodations & Meals
The tour would include accommodation in a kibbutz, a youth hostel and a guest house. This is a Youth Conference style tour and therefore it will require “all hands on deck”. We will be having simple meals, cooking for ourselves for the most part to keep costs to a minimum. Lunch will be packed sandwiches as we want to pack in as much touring as we can!

Water streams in Israel's Upper-Galilee
High peaks, rivers and streams, breathtaking landscapes and evergreen forests make the Upper Galilee particularly attractive to hikers. No wonder it has been nicknamed The Israeli Tuscany.
Thanks to the abundant water and the fertile soil, this northern part of Israel has been relatively densely populated since ancient times; and it is of particular significance to Christian believers, since it is the birthplace of Christianity.

Tel Beersheba Overview Tour: Biblical Place Where Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob Lived!
See the amazing events from the Bible that happened in Beersheba and the Negev area. Location 1. Beersheba is located in the Negev, which is a semi-desert. 2. The tel of Beersheba lies a little east of the modern city, which is the region's largest city and administrative capital. 3. It’s about 45 miles (70 km.) south of Jerusalem and about 30 miles (45 km.) from the Mediterranean Ocean. 4. It’s located between the Beersheba and Hebron Streams (which are dry much of the time). 5. It was located on a significant travel route linking Africa and Egypt with Asia and Europe. The Nabateans, who were centralized in Petra, passed through here on caravans with trade goods. Historical Background 1. Beersheba is the beginning place of God’s master plan for the Nation of Israel. 2. In essence, each person has the same tendencies as the Nation of Israel. Therefore, when God wanted to speak to all mankind, He used Israel as the example (1 Cor. 10:11). 3. The name Negev means “dry land” in Hebrew, but the Bible often uses the term to refer to the southern part of Israel. 4. Because Beersheba is in the Negev, which receives an annual rainfall of 6–8 inches (18 cm.), there was not a lot of population in the area, and most of the people living here were nomadic shepherds. 5. Beersheba was in the territory of the Philistines (Gen. 21:33–34). 6. After a conflict over Abraham’s well, which he had dug in Beersheba, a covenant was made between Abimelech and Abraham to settle the dispute (Gen. 21:25–34). To ratify the covenant, Abraham gave Abimelech seven ewe lambs. Therefore, Beersheba means “well of the oath” or “well of the seven lambs.” 7. When the writers of Scripture wanted to speak of all Israel, they would often use the expression “from Dan (the northern-most city) to Beersheba (the southern-most city).” Places of Interest 1. Four Horned Altar This altar belonged to cult worship or was misused by the Israelites as it doesn’t comply with Scripture. Altars were to be made of “stones on which you have not used an iron tool” (Deut. 27:5). This altar used hand shaped stones. The altar was likely one of those torn down during the religious reforms of King Josiah (2 Kings 23:8). 2. Abraham’s Well – 230 feet deep (70 m.) 3. Outer Gate 4. Inner Gates 5. City Square 6. Governor’s Palace 7. Roman Bath Pools 8. Basement House 9. Four-room House 10. Casement Wall 11. Roman Fortress 12. Observation Tower 13. Storerooms 14. Street with Shops 15. Beersheba Stream 16. Hebron Stream 17. Water Cistern
Israel - Holy Land Tour Part 5: Tabgha / Mt. Beatitudes / Hazor / Dan
After a torrential storm on the Sea of Galilee it's a quick stop at the fisherman's bay at Tabgha - the place where Jesus called His Apostles to follow Him. Then it's on to Mt. Beatitudes, location of the greatest sermon ever preached, the Lord's Sermon on the Mount. The next day begins with a visit to Hazor, a city once captured by Joshua and the Children of Israel. Lastly we travel north for a stop at beautiful Dan - source of the Jordan River and one of the sites of ancient Israel's backsliding into idolatry.
