Mit der Neueröffnung des Tell-Museums in Bürglen erstrahlt das Schweizer Symbol für Freiheit, Wilhelm Tell, in neuem Glanz. Dem Museum gelingt es mit seiner Neuorientierung auch ein anderes neues Publikumssegment anzusprechen.

Bürglen (525 m ü. M.) liegt südöstlich von Altdorf an der Klausenpassstrasse am Eingang zum Schächental und gilt als Heimat Wilhelm Tells, des Schweizer Nationalhelden. Er soll hier geboren worden sein. Die Rettung eines Kindes aus dem Fluss Schächen bezahlte er mit seinem Leben. Bürglen wird erstmals im Jahre 857 unter dem Namen Burgilla urkundlich erwähnt. Das Wappen zeigt vier aus dem 12. Jahrhundert stammende Türme. Der Meierturm besteht in seiner ursprünglichen Form. Der zweite Turm beherbergt seit 1966 das Tell-Museum. Der dritte und vierte Turm bilden die Grundmauern des Hotels Tell und des Pfarrhauses.
Bürglen (525 m above sea level) lies southeast of Altdorf at the Klausen Pass road at the entry into the Schächental valley and is said to be the home of William Tell, the national hero of Switzerland. This is said to be his place of birth. He was killed trying to save a child from the Schächenbach river. Bürglen was first mentioned in official records as Burgilla in 857. The crest depicts four towers from the 12th century. The Meierturm tower persists in its original form. The second tower has been the home of the Tell museum since 1966. The third and fourth towers form the foundations of the Hotel Tell and the rectory.

En effet, nous avons déjà amassé une collection d'environ 800 objets et documents anciens relatifs le mythe fondateur de la Confédération helvétique et Guillaume Tell.

The town of Biel/Bienne is the metropolis of Swiss watchmaking and headquarters to brands such as Rolex, Tissot & Swatch. It’s located along the eastern end of the same called lake just at the foot of the first mountain range of the Jura Mountains.

Geläut in dem die wichtigste erhaltene Glocke des berühmten Luzerner Giessers Jost Rüttimann enthalten ist.
Geläut in einer schönen Tonfolge mit Halbtonschritt zwischen den beiden kleinsten Glocken. Die zweitgrösste Glocke ist die bedeutendste erhaltene Glocke des Luzerner Giessers Jost Rüttimann, der im 17. Jahrhundert viele reich verzierte Glocken für die Innerschweiz goss.
Als aber nicht er, sondern Lothringer Wandergiesser das neue Geläut für die Luzerner Hofkirche anfertigen durften, erwirkte er danach beim Rat ein Mandat, das auswärtigen Giessern die Ausübung ihres Handwerks in Luzern untersagte.

Mitten im Dorf steht die Pfarrkirche mit ihrer interessanten Geschichte. Sie prägt das Dorfbild. Der von weither sichtbare Bau ist eine der bedeutendsten frühbarocken Kirchen der Schweiz. Feierlich wirken im Innern das Weiss der Wände, die hohen Gewölbe mit den Stukkaturen und das reichlich einströmende Licht.
Arth im Kanton Schwyz liegt am Südufer des Zugersees in einem Tal zwischen dem Zugerberg und der Rigi.

The Swiss began work on their own tank programme in 1958 with successive prototypes, each of which featured a bigger and better gun. The Panzer 61, which entered production in March 1961, mounted the British 105mm weapon. Production ran to 150 tanks, the last of which was completed in 1966.
Various features of the Panzer 61 were designed specifically to suit Switzerland's geography. For example, the steering system is arranged to cope with steep and winding mountain roads while the profile of the tank has been selected to fit the many tunnels on Switzerland's railways. All of this is vital for landlocked country with multiple borders.
In order to meet these requirements, Panzer 61 has a hydrostatic steering system, suspension springs made from Belleville washers and fuel tanks situated around the driver's position. Another fairly unusual feature is the fitting of a 209mm cannon to the left of the main gun.
The Tank Museum's Panzer 61 iOS the only Swiss vehicle in their collection. It was presented by the Swiss government in 1995 and is still painted in its original colours.

Das Schächental ist ein Seitental der Reuss im Kanton Uri. Seinen Namen verdankt es dem Gewässer Schächen, das die Schmelzwasser der umliegenden Berge aufnimmt und sie zur Reuss und damit in den Vierwaldstättersee transportiert. Er durchfliesst die drei Orte Bürglen (aus dem der legendäre Wilhelm Tell stammen soll), Spiringen und Unterschächen. Bei Unterschächen wird das Schächental vom südlichen Brunnital erreicht. Abgeschlossen wird das Tal durch den Klausenpass.
The Schächental valley is a tributary valley of the Reuss river in the canton of Uri. It got its name from the Schächen river, which collects the meltwaters from the surrounding mountains and transports them to the Reuss and thus to Lake Lucerne. It flows through the three municipalities of Bürglen (where the legendary William Tell is said to come from), Spiringen, and Unterschächen. At Unterschächen, the Schächental adjoins to the southern Brunnital valley. The valley terminates at the Klausen Pass.

Der Albis ist eine Bergkette im Kanton Zürich, die von Sihlbrugg im Süden bis zur Waldegg bei Zürich im Norden über etwa 19 km parallel zur Sihl und dem Zürichsee verläuft. Der höchste Punkt der Kette ist der Bürglen mit 914,6 m ü. M. und der bekannteste der Uetliberg mit einer Höhe von 870,6 m ü. M.
Der Albispass, die Buchenegg und die Waldegg sind ganzjährig befahrbar. Die Felsenegg ist mit
der Luftseilbahn Adliswil-Felsenegg ab Adliswil, der Uetliberg mit der Uetlibergbahn ab Zürich erschlossen. Der Albis ist heute in erster Linie ein Naherholungsgebiet und steht unter Landschaftsschutz.
The Albis is a mountain range in the canton of Zurich which extends from Sihl in the south to the Waldegg near Zurich in the north, running parallel to the Sihl river and Lake Zurich for about 19 km. The highest peak of the range is the Bürglen (914.6 m above sea level), and the best known one is the Uetliberg with a height of 870.6 m above sea level.
The Albis Pass, the Buchenegg and the Waldegg are open to traffic all year round. The Felsenegg is accessible via the aerial cableway Adliswil-Felsenegg; the Uetliberg, via the Uetlibergbahn railway from Zurich. Nowadays, the Albis is primarily a recreational area and a protected landscape.

Altdorf/New York - 1.8.16 - Wilhelm Tell besucht New York. Eine Kopie des Altdorfer Tell-Denkmals steht rechtzeitig zum 1. August auf einer kleinen Privatinsel vor New York, nur wenige Kilometer entfernt von der amerikanischen Freiheitsstatue. Hinter der Kunst-Aktion steht der bekannte Schweizer Lichtkünstler Gerry Hofstetter. Die Aktion mit Wilhelm Tell ist Teil einer grösseren Imagekampagne durch 50 US-Staaten.
