ENDLESS HORIZON TERMESPHERE

This five and one half foot diameter Termesphere was created one year after South Dakota's Centennial year of statehood 1990. I traveled the state and took photos of every part of the state. From the results of that tour I created this endless horizon of all the things I saw from landscapes to buildings to very unique things. It has a double spiral running from top to bottom in dark and light values. The four seasons are also shown in another spiral running from top to bottom. This is owned by the State Education and Cultural Affairs Department in South Dakota but is being displayed at the Rapid City Convention Center in the theater area. It was painted by Dick Termes
