Tetsugakudo Park in Nakano Tokyo - 哲学堂公園
Tetsugakudo Park is a great park to have a relaxing time and also think about philosophy or Japanese culture from unique point of view.
There are a lot of statue of Japanese sprits call Yokai and also relative of philosophy.
It is about 20-25min walk from Nakano station.
Have a peaceful time in middle of Tokyo there!

I took a walk of autumn leaves at Otaguro Park near Ogikubo Station in Suginami-ku, Tokyo.
This park is the site of the former residence of music critic Motoo Otaguro.
Because it is a secret spot for autumn leaves, you can enjoy the migrating Japanese garden slowly.

The new 'Nakano Central Park' is thousands of square meters of urbanicus: grass, trees, terraces, water fountains, street cafes, high-rises, and university campuses. So, I'm doing my rollerskating there. At dusk. When fewer people are around. ????

MSLGROUP transforms the city of Yubari (Japan)
With a debt of $330 million, Yubari City went bankrupt in 2007. MSLGROUP's mission was to transform Yubari through publicity, energize its citizens, and see it become economically independent by boosting tourism.
The campaign (orchestrated by MSL Japan) generated 150 million yen in advertising value with exposure including 100 newspaper mentions, 100 online media mentions, 30 TV mentions, and 53,100 blog entries. In addition, the annual number of visitors to Yubari in 2008 exceeded that of the previous year by 10%, while $31 million has been generated toward alleviating the city's debt.
Thousands visit cherry blossoms in Tokyo park
(31 Mar 2016) Thousands of visitors have flocked to Ueno Park in Tokyo to savour the cherry blossoms in full bloom and to celebrate the onset of Spring.
Japan's Meteorological Agency on Thursday announced the cherry blossom trees in Tokyo had reached their peak bloom of the season.
In recent years, many tourists have joined in the Japanese tradition to eat packed lunches sitting on the grounds under the trees.
The Ueno park boasts around a thousand cherry blossom trees, known as sakura in Japanese, ranging from the pastel somei yoshino, to the willowing shidare sakura.
The age-old tradition of celebrating Spring under the blossoms usually lasts for only a few weeks, before the petals fall and give way to green leaves.

Episode 3 of the Yubari series shows you the enthusiasm of Yubari. This fast paced edit to Japanese drums shows you life behind the scenes of the Melon Bear and the deep pow. This is the Yubari community.
Life in Yubari has seen some changes over the past twenty years. The Yubari region was once Japan’s coal mining capital but has since seen a staggering population exodus as the coal industry disappeared in the 1980's. What remains attached to the ghost town today is the Mount Racy ski resort and a few friendly locals who are hoping for a comeback rooted in tourism rather than tunneling.
The truth, however, is that Mount Racey and the town of Yubari is one of Japan’s best-kept secrets that shouldn’t be missed on a trip to the far east. In the spring there is the aptly named Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival, then a cherry blossom festival, and a summer festival before the gorgeous colored leaves are celebrated in autumn.
So as you can see don't judge a town by its buildings because there's more life in Yubari than most places we've ever been.
