Burglars break into Manchester escape room thinking it's a real bank
The two men broke into Lucardo Escape Rooms in Manchester city centre early this morning. CCTV footage shows the men going around the Gem Runner room which is made to look like a bank. Business director Ian Pownall said: 'They couldn't get through the locks so they had a drill and were unscrewing panels of their hinges. It's as if they thought it was a real bank. But obviously there was inside them just puzzles.' Mr Pownall, 26, estimates the damage done to his business to be around £1000. The two men also stopped for a drink while inside the premises and police are hoping to collect DNA from the can which was left behind.
