A giant golden ring has been installed in Sterling Heights on Hall Road near Schoenherr as part of a beautification project. Detroit’s oldest drinking establishment got some national love today. The Two Way Inn on Mt. Elliott in Detroit was just named the Best Dive Bar in the country for the 2019 Nightclub & Bar Awards. Heart of Detroit: Robby Eimers
Air date: September 25, 2014
Twelve year old Robby Eimers isn’t your ordinary kid. Instead of playing video games on the weekends, Robby is helping others who are less fortunate.
Robby: I knew there was some homeless people but I didn’t know there was like that many so I just thought we need to start doing this a little more.
Robby, along with the help of his Grandma Cindy started The Eimers Foundation to help the homeless. Using the money he earns from washing cars and donations, Robby serves lunch and distributes clothing every Saturday or as he calls it “sharing.”
Robby: We will like start getting all the stuff ready on Friday and then um we’ll pack the car Saturday morning and then um we’ll drive down there.
Mitch: Were you scared of the homeless people when you first met them?
Robby: “No not really cause they they’re ordinary people they just don’t have a lot of stuff.
Mitch: And since then you have kind of become friendly?
Robby: Yeah they are my friends now.
Robby serves on average 100 to 300 people each week. His friend Frank, who was once homeless himself, met Robby on one of his first “sharing” trips and now is with him each week serving the community.
Frank: I love him and everybody down here love him. He goes all around the block he goes around everywhere to make sure these people eat.
Robby: Say if you had nothing and you were just out on the street, wouldn’t you want somebody to like come and give you something.
Mitch: Have you given any thought to what you want to do when you get older and out of school?
Robby: Yeah, baseball player for the Tigers and um then I am going to be the President.
Mitch: And when you become President of the United States what’s going to be the first thing that you are going to do?
Robby: Get all the homeless people off the streets.
Good things do come in small packages. Proving that “sharing” is caring - Robby Eimers and the Eimers Foundation are feeding those less fortunate here in the heart of Detroit.

Insane Clown Posse (ICP) is an American hip hop
duo from Detroit, Michigan. The group is composed
of Joseph Bruce and Joseph Utsler, who perform
under the respective personas of the wicked
clowns Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope. Insane Clown
Posse performs a style of hardcore hip hop known
as horrorcore and is known for its elaborate live
performances. The duo has earned two platinum and
five gold albums. According to Nielsen SoundScan,
the entire catalog of the group has sold
6.5 million units in the United States and
Canada as of April 2007. Originally known as Inner
City Posse, the group introduced supernatural- and
horror-themed lyrics as a means of distinguishing
itself stylistically. The duo founded the
independent record label Psychopathic Records with
Alex Abbiss as manager, and produced and starred
in the feature films Big Money Hustlas and Big
Money Rustlas. They formed their own professional
wrestling federation, Juggalo Championship
Wrestling, and later collaborated with many
well-known hip hop and rock musicians. The group
has established a dedicated following, often
referred to as Juggalos. The songs of Insane Clown
Posse center thematically on the mythology of the
Dark Carnival, a metaphoric limbo in which the
lives of the dead are judged by one of several
entities. The Dark Carnival is elaborated through
a series of stories called Joker's Cards, each of
which offers a specific lesson designed to change
the evil ways of listeners before the end
consumes us all.

Worldwide Accent Project-Columbus, OH
This is my contribution to the Worldwide Accent Project, which is a collaboration project made by YouTubers from around the world, with the intention of creating a global accent archive. I had to read the following passage to show off my dope-ass accent skills:
See above those clouds, near where the blue sky appears to fold? Some say it is the entrance to the floating isles where pirates still rule the air and dragons choose to live. Only the most skilled pilots can sail their craft close enough to even glimpse the light coming from within. You can't find those who know the way; they find you. Rather, you four lazy tourists must learn from your books and be ready, so that you may not miss an opportunity to travel to that mysterious place. It would be an adventure that you would never forget. Now, I think that's enough with this pleasurable story telling. Go home and join your aunt - she's cooking fine food!

WHITE STRIPES - My Doorbell
My Doorbell by the American alternative rock band The White Stripes is the second single from their album Get Behind Me Satan (2005). The song garnered The White Stripes a 2006 Grammy nomination for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.
The White Stripes were an American rock duo, formed in 1997 in Detroit, Michigan. The group consisted of drummer Meg White (drums and occasional vocals) and songwriter Jack White (vocals, guitar, and keyboards). Meg and Jack White were previously married to each other, but are now divorced.
After releasing several singles and three albums within the Detroit music scene, the White Stripes rose to prominence in 2002, as part of the garage rock revival scene. Their successful and critically acclaimed albums White Blood Cells and Elephant drew them attention from a large variety of media outlets in the United States and the United Kingdom, with the single Seven Nation Army and its now-iconic guitar riff becoming a huge hit. The band recorded a further two albums, Get Behind Me Satan in 2005 and Icky Thump in 2007. The group was dissolved in 2011 after a lengthy hiatus from performing and recording.
The White Stripes used a low-fidelity approach to writing and recording. Their music featured a melding of garage rock and blues influences and a raw simplicity of composition, arrangement, and performance. The duo was also noted for their fashion and design aesthetic which featured an exclusive use of a simple color scheme of red, white, and black, which was used on every album and single cover the band released- as well as the band's obsession with the number three.
The band's discography consists of six studio albums, one live album, two extended plays (EP), one concert film, one tour documentary, twenty-six singles, and fourteen music videos. Their last three albums each won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album.
LYRICS:
I'm thinkin' about my doorbell
When ya gonna ring it, when ya gonna ring it
Yeah, I'm thinkin' about my doorbell
When ya gonna ring it, when ya gonna ring it
Yeah, I'm thinkin' about my doorbell
When ya gonna ring it, when ya gonna ring it
yeah, I been thinkin' about my doorbell
Oh, well
Well women and children need kisses
Not the man in my life I know
And I been going to mystery misses
I respect the art of the show
Take back what you said little girl
And while you're at it take yourself back too
Well I'm Tired Of Sitting Here Waiting
Woman whatcha gonna do now, whatcha gonna do about it
I'm thinkin' about my doorbell
When ya gonna ring it, when ya gonna ring it
Yeah, I'm thinkin' about my doorbell
When ya gonna ring it, when ya gonna ring it oh
I'm thinkin' about my doorbell
When ya gonna ring it, when ya gonna ring it
Yeah, I been thinkin' about my doorbell
Oh, yeah
You don't seem to come around
Point your finger and make a sound
You don't seem to come around
Not since I said you knocked it down?
Oh, well
Make a sound and I'll make you feel right
Right at home, yeah
Yeah, right at home, yeah
Nobody got me waitin' in pain
But how come it's so easy to you
You don't strike me as the type to be callous
But your words seem so obtuse
But then again I know you feel guilty
And you tell me you want me again
But I don't need any of your pity
I got plenty of my own friends
They're all above me
And I've been thinkin' about my doorbell
When they gonna ring it, when they gonna ring it
Yeah, I've been thinkin' about the doorbell
When they gonna ring it, when they gonna ring it oh
I've been thinkin' about the doorbell
When they gonna ring it, when they gonna ring it
Yeah, I been thinkin' about the doorbell
Oh, well
They don't seem to come around
Push the finger and make a sound
They don't seem to come around
Maybe they they'll knock 'em down
Oh, well
Make a sound and I'll make you feel right
Right at home
Right at home
I'm thinkin' about my doorbell
When ya gonna ring it, when ya gonna ring it
I'm thinkin' about my doorbell
When ya gonna ring it, when ya gonna ring it
Yeah, I'm thinkin' about my doorbell
When ya gonna ring it, when ya gonna ring it
Yeah, I been thinkin' about my doorbell
And when you're gonna ring it, when you're gonna ring it
I'm thinkin' about my doorbell
When ya gonna ring it, when ya gonna ring it
Yeah, I'm thinkin' about my doorbell
Oh, oh well
