American Impressionism
More than one hundred works on exhibit at the Springfield Museums, including 80 oil paintings and nearly 30 works on paper created during the golden age of American Impressionism between the 1880s through the 1940s.
The collection of lyrical landscapes, sun-filled harbors, penetrating portraits and still-life paintings is organized according to the artists’ colonies that played such a critical role in the development of American Impressionism. These include Cos Cob and Old Lyme in Connecticut; Cape Cod, Cape Anne, and Rockport, in Massachusetts; New Hope and Philadelphia in Pennsylvania; Taos, New Mexico; and throughout California. Within each of these colonies, artists were able to teach, collaborate and escape the daily rigors of their city studios. Often located in scenic locations within striking distance of major cities, the colonies surrounded artists with natural beauty while also providing them with ample subject matter for their work.
Featured are works by Mary Cassatt and John Singer Sargent, expatriate artists working in Paris alongside the likes of Degas and Monet, along with American masters like William Merritt Chase and Charles Webster Hawthorne who embraced the style and helped further its development in the United States. The exhibit also includes other leading artists of the movement such as Childe Hassam, Ernest Lawson, Julian Alden Weir, John Twachtman, Chauncey Ryder, Frank W. Benson, William Paxton, Abbott Thayer, Guy Wiggins, Colin Campbell Cooper, Daniel Garber and Edward Redfield, among others.
Organized by the Reading Public Museum, Sponsored by MassMutual.
(3/3 Special Series) 3rd Retake of Mitsubishi DOAS Elevators @ Undisclosed Location, Irvine, CA
Recorded 12-18-18.
This office building finally opened the 21st floor and they completed renovation. Unfortunately, that means getting a view out the window is no longer possible now that there are front desk people and cubicles all over the floor. Good thing Caleb and I got a view out the window when the floor was empty! Also, on the 1st floor keypad out of the elevator bank, they added what direction(s) to go, which is nice.
This is the 3rd and final video of the 300 subscribers, Holidays, and New Year's special series. I hope you enjoyed them all!

Hell Toro- Toxic Marine Base in Irvine
Tim King's report about the toxic soup that affects Marines and others who served aboard and live near MCAS El Toro, the closed-down Marine air base in Irvine, California. Visit Salem-News.com and enter 'El Toro' as a key word to read and view hundreds of related reports.
Flying into the Marine Corps Air Station El Toro. 1970, 2006 and now! Were you there?
I was stationed at El Toro USMC airbase for all my stateside duty, except Avionics School in Jax Florida, and my overseas tours to Japan, Vietnam, Korea, Philippines, Hong Kong, and Okinawa. El Toro was like home. I miss it. It was quite the place. Here see some old pictures, some newer ones, and a Landing of an F-18 on the old runways of today, a fly by over the near by LTA blimp/Helicopter station and a Landing at the Orange County John Wayne Airport, also nearby. Semper Fi to all those who served and let me know if you ever were stationed there. Thanks kindly. I have other Marine Corps videos on my channel if you search USMC playlist.
