The Pink Store, Palomas, Mexico
When you walked through the doors of The Pink Store, which has been there for over 25 years, your senses are almost assaulted with all the amazing, colorful art! The owners, Ivonne and Sergio Romero, travel extensively throughout Mexico to bring back art from small villages and big towns. Â Some big name artists are represented, such as Mario Lopez who can also be found in the Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago. Â To me, the store definitely specializes in pottery from many areas of Mexico, including Mata Ortiz pottery and colorful Talavera and Talavera-style pottery. Â LOTS of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) art could be found.

The Pink Store in Palomas, Mexico ~ Free Margaritas While You Shop
We enjoyed visiting this store just over the border in Mexico; we walked there from Columbus, New Mexico; the store is in Palomas, Mexico. My favorite part was the free margaritas while you shop! Definitely can't beat that! I must admit that at the time I was there, I thought their prices were high compared to other places we'd just been to in Mexico. However, by the time we were done our 2-week trip to border cities in Mexico, I came to appreciate that this store really does have a wonderful selection of merchandise (and I regretted not buying more when I was there!). So, I definitely recommend you stop by here if your travels allow you the opportunity! We hope you enjoy watching this! After touring Camp Furlong and the museum and railroad depot, we drive 3 miles to Mexico and find free parking on the US side and walk to Mexico.
We were told to go to The Pink Store to eat and buy souvenirs and that is just what we did.
