- The Showroom Theatre in Prince Albert is a collaboration between local Businesswoman Charon Landman and Film Maker Johnny Breedt. Charon Landman has invested in and developed many properties in Prince Albert including the Swartberg Hotel and Seven Arches building. Johnny Breedt is best known for his work as a Production Designer in the film industry, both locally and abroad. He has worked on over sixty feature films including “Mandela-Long Walk To Freedom” Project, for which he was awarded a SAFTA Award for Best Production Design.

This week Pasella’s off to the Prince Albert in the Karoo. Mishka and Sean-Marco explore the Swartbergpas on the back of a bike. Actor, Ramey Short goes for a jog with Sean-Marco and visits the Meiringspoort waterfall. Singer Michael Lindt is on stage at the town’s Showroom Theatre. Mishka launches a fig peal contest. Local artist Amanda Clingen makes a lamp from enamel bowls. And TV chef Hendry Olivier makes food from the Karoo pantry.

Prince Albert Community Trust in the Karoo, South Africa, funded the #US4US concert with the help of the Graham and Rona Beck foundation, celebrating local talent and creating a professional platform for local artists to share with their community. This is just the start of building the talent and dreams of young people, who live in a remote part of our country.
Omang? - Prince Albert Agricultural Show
Prince Albert nestles beneath the Swartberg mountains in the central Karoo. Here, farmers prepare their livestock and produce for the annual Agricultural Show – an opportunity for them not only to market their produce, but to educate the public on their lifestyle and culture. Series produced and directed by Bjorn Rudner for the Media Peace Centre and funded by the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund.
