A couple of visits to the Mount Gambier Blue Lake Volcano Crater and the Valley Lake Crater, one in sunshine, the other in winter conditions which brought out the kangaroos feeding on winter grasses before a hailstorm came.

Mount Gambier - South Australia
Mount Gambier is a city in the southeastern corner of South Australia. It’s known for its limestone, volcanic landscape and crater lakes. One of these, Blue Lake, turns cobalt blue in summer. Nearby, the Centenary Tower offers panoramic views of the area. The Umpherston Sinkhole contains a lush sunken garden. The Lady Nelson Visitor Centre houses a full-size replica of a late-18th-century ship.

Valley lake and conservation park, Mount Gambier
This video is the first produced by me. It's done just using a Motorola smart phone. Valley lake is the destination filmed here along with the conservation park nearby. It's situated about 5ks from Mount Gambier on South Australia's limestone coast. As you see it's just a basic recording but still showcases the beauty of what this great area has to offer. Wildlife that live here range from birds and ducks to wallabies and echidnas, although all you see here are birds and kangaroos. Animals are shy and tend to hide alot, particularly when people are nearby. You may experience some break up with this video.

Naracoorte Caves Mount Gambier Blue & Valley Lake Flinders Ranges
Naracoorte Caves is South Australia's only world Heritage Site which dates back to a time when Goannas were the size of Crocs, Marsupial lions, giant kangaroos and some snakes had legs, dating back to the Jurassic age. Blue and Valley Lakes were formed from volcanic eruptions forming these craters and the limestone sitting underneath gives the lake the awesome blue colour. Flinders Ranges according to Aboriginal Legends were formed by two serpents' creating Wilpena Pound. Also grid point 44 on the Earth's Ley Lines. I highly recommend watching this video through a surround sound system and crank it all the way up !
