Cozy Log Cabin Style Tiny Home on Saltspring Island
You are going to fall in love with this tiny home on Saltspring Island (British Columbia). The Keva house will take your breath away with it’s rustic beauty. I know that you will love it too. It goes to show that anyone with an adventures spirit can take on a big task, like building a home, and succeed. (With some help from professionals of course. Not all of us are electricians or plumbers.) Nicely done lady!
I love it this quaint little home! It has a pretty pergola porch, lovely windows and exposed beams. The interior is clean, bright, and open. What’s not to love? The answer? Nothing! If I ever decided to build a little house someday it would look a lot like this one! (p.s.-Check out the ‘rustic’ outhouse. That’s not for everyone!)

This Tiny Home Is Tucked Away In A Woodland, And Now You Can Glimpse The Enchanting Interior
It was back in November 2014 that Rebecca Grim began building a tiny wooden house to live in. Like in many other parts of the U.S. and Canada, property prices in her province of British Columbia had rocketed to the extent that Grim realized buying a home was out of the question. So instead of trawling around real estate offices, she resolved to create her very own abode.

Forecasting with a Smile - Meet Victoria's Weather Lady, Anne McCarthy
VICTORIA - When you want to talk weather in Victoria, one woman comes to mind: Anne McCarthy. No matter how many times she is asked for an interview, Anne has always does it with a smile, even when we talk about her least favourite weather: snow!
I hate it. I spent 5 years north of 60 - I know what snow is and frankly I don't like it! she says. The Arctic Circle is where it all began for Anne. Right out of high school she stumbled across a job with Environment Canada, which promised a chance to travel to remote areas. She thought the post would be temporary. I keep forgetting to quit! says Anne, admitting she only planned on staying on for a couple of years.
Over the past 30 years Anne has moved from weather observer to authority in our community, communicating the forecast so it makes sense to you. After all, the weather does impact us all. Speaking of impact, Anne's most memorable weather moment on the island was the blizzard of 1996. She remembers having the day off, but she says she felt guilty that she wasn't at the office, helping her colleagues.
If she could have changed the forecast that day to avoid the snow, I'm sure she would have. You see Anne is often asked to fix the weather. I can do it, but there's a delay...
All joking aside, Anne says she loves her work, how it's evolved over the years with new technology, and how more and more women have entered the field.
It's a career I'd recommend. If not a career, maybe a hobby, but watch out - you might get hooked. She says watching the weather is obsessive, but it's wonderful.

Waterborne - Zombie Kangaroo Short Film (Official)
When a local ranger in a small country town finds an unidentified algae overwhelming the water supply, he knows that something's not right. But it's not until the sun goes down that he discovers the true extent of the danger - it seems the town is about to experience the effects of a mysterious infection that turns not only humans – but animals too – into zombies. Australian wildlife has never been so terrifying…
Octopod Films and Veritas Entertainment, in association with Deadpan Films, are proud to bring you 'Waterborne' - the world's first zombie kangaroo film, and a prequel for a feature film currently in development.
Shot on location in regional Victoria, Australia, the film only came about due to the amazing support from over 250 crowdfunding backers, who helped fund the creation of an incredible zombie kangaroo puppet, as well as a digitally animated zombieroo.
The film has screened at over 50 festivals around the world (including big genre festivals such as Fantasia, Fantastic Fest, Sitges International Film Festival) and won multiple awards.
