Salt Spring Island is one of the Gulf Islands in the Strait of Georgia between mainland British Columbia, Canada and Vancouver Island.The island was initially inhabited by various Salishan peoples before being settled by pioneers in 1859, at which time it was officially called Admiral Island. Last July, my wife and I took these photos while we were camping in Ruckle Provincial Park on beautiful Saltspring Island, in British Columbia. We took all of these photos from our campsite, as we were fortunate enough to stay in one of the beachfront campsites and admire the supermoon that night.
