Britannia Beach is a small unincorporated community in the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District located approximately 55 kilometers north of Vancouver, British Columbia on the Sea-to-Sky Highway on Howe Sound. It has a population of about 300. It includes the nearby Britannia Creek, a small to mid-sized stream that flows into Howe Sound that was historically one of North America's most polluted waterways. The community first developed between 1900 and 1904 as the residential area for the staff of the Britannia Mining and Smelting Company. The park was originally part of Garibaldi Provincial Park but was split off as a separate park in 1967.

Nairn Falls Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia, Canada located on the Green River adjacent to British Columbia Highway 99 and the Canadian National Railway line just south of Pemberton and less than twenty minutes north of the resort town of Whistler. The 170 hectare park was established in 1966, shortly after the highway's opening, to protect and enhance visitor access to Nairn Falls, a double waterfall connected by a small canyon which throttles the flow of the Green River just before its accession to the lowlands of the Pemberton Valley and its confluence with the Lillooet River just above that river's estuary into Lillooet Lake.

A video that I made some time ago. Mt. Seymour Provincial Park offers great winter photo opportunities. The combination of heavy snow and the occasional break in weather offers quintessential winter photo opportunities.

South Fraser River and Garry Point Park in Richmond, British Columbia

Garry Point Park is a 75-acre waterfront park in Richmond, British Columbia. The park has spectacular views of the South Arm of the Fraser River and Gulf Islands. It is 10-minute walk from Steveston Village.

Garry Point has beach and waterfront access, a Japanese style memorial garden, expansive open areas for picnicking and kite flying, and a heritage moorage facility with buildings and docks at Scotch Pond. Two concession stands operate seasonally at the main entrance of the park.

Steveston Village maintains the character of a quaint, historic fishing village, with more than 600 fishing boats. This popular tourist destination maintains a laid-back village atmosphere, and is home to two National Historic Sites of Canada: the Gulf of Georgia Cannery and Britannia Heritage Shipyard Park.

2014 Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival - Harrison Mills, BC, Canada

Harrison the bald eagle hosts this overview of the 2014 Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival, held each year along the banks of the Harrison River in British Columbia's beautiful Fraser Valley.

Every November, thousands of bald eagles migrate south from Alaska, stopping along the way to feast on the salmon that come up the Fraser and Harrison Rivers.

A highlight of the festival is the release, at The Sandpiper Golf Course, of a young eagle that was rescued and rehabilitated.

One of the festival's popular locations is beautiful Tapadera Estates, where over 2,000 visitors came to view the eagles out on the flats this year.
