黄色いライトに見送られて…　ＪＲ石勝線夕張支線が営業終了

北海道夕張市の中心部を縦走するＪＲ石勝線夕張支線（新夕張―夕張間、１６・１キロ）が3月３１日夜、最終運行を終え、明治以来１２７年の歴史に幕を下ろした。午後７時３４分、夕張駅から、最終列車が出発した。

夕張市 Yubari City 【そらち炭鉱のまち ガイドマップ】

石炭産出量が特に多く、1960（昭和35）年に地域最多人口116,908人を数えたが、2007（平成19）年、財政再建団体に指定。現在は9,058人。山田洋次監督映画『幸福の黄色いハンカチ』の舞台として名が知られて以降、映画祭も開催されている。

The production of the coal industry provided in Yubari`s population growth. In 1960, the population of Yubari was 116,908 that is estimated to reach a peak. However, Yubari has been designated a municipality under rehabilitation in 2007. The city has a population of 9,058. Yubari is known as a location for” The Yellow Handkerchief of Happiness”, the film that was a big hit under the directorship of Yamada Yoji. From then on, the film festival has been hold.

It is an unmanned station in Yubari-shi, Hokkaido, scenery of JR Hokkaido Shikanotani station.
There is the small station which only daily an average of approximately 50 people use.
Coal mine houses and the yellow handkerchief that a Ken Takakura star movie became the location spot of a yellow handkerchief of the happiness near of the station are just left.
