Pathfinders gain Sanctuary insights
The theme of the 2019 TED Pathfinder experience is Exodus. Part of that experience is an understanding of the Tabernacle or Sanctuary that God established with Israel at Sinai. In addition to the worship periods, there were two activities that helped explain it more in an engaging manner.

Our Time - Dear Loved Ones ft RT & Shawty
The album OUR TIME is a collaboration of young people from two different organisations based in Birmingham (Greenspring Training) and Manchester (Dreamcatchers) who teach Music, Media and Performing Arts to young people with learning difficulties, mental health issues, drug and alcohol issues, anger management issues, housing difficulties just to name a few of the struggles these youth have/are still dealing with.
12 determined young people from each city have worked together to produce an amazing album wholly inspired by their life experiences and diverse backgrounds.
The album featured was created entirely by the young learners. These young people have written, produced the music and recorded themselves in a first ever cross- city cohesion Album. Our Time is an upbeat album with an underlining theme of social issues such as gun and knife crime, youth empowerment, bullying and seeing a way out of being on the street.
The two organisations that form DreamSpring worked together to organise a mini tour in two major cities in England. The CD was also entirely created by the young people uniting and making the lyrics, producing together and recording each other.

The focus for Refugee Week 2014 Refugee Week 2014 was dedicated to refugee children and young people, highlighting the role they are (and will be) playing in shaping our shared future. To mark this theme, we recruited a group of inspiring young people to become Refugee Week ambassadors and help us promote the Week and celebrate the skills and contributions of young people. Gulwali Passarlay is one of the young people who has become a Refugee Week Young Ambassador.
Gulwali was forced to flee his home in a small village in eastern Afghanistan when he was twelve years old. A year later, after a long and dangerous journey, he arrived in the UK seeking sanctuary. Now nineteen years old, Gulwali has established a life for himself in the UK. He has received refugee status and is currently studying politics and international relations at university, whilst finding a multitude of ways to be involved in improving people's lives in the UK. He holds roles which include: 2020 Education Youth Ambassador; Commissioner on the Children's Commission on Poverty (supported by The Children's Society); Member of National Scrutiny Group; Youth member of UN Association UK, Children Champion – UNICEF, Young Labour Representative, Member of Equality & Diversity Committee / Peace Activist, NHS - Youth Forum Member, Bolton Youth International New Arrivals Representative, Vice President of United Afghan Peace Movement, Member of Children in Care Council.
In this film Gulwali visits Lib Dem MP and Chair of the All Party
Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Refugees Sarah Teather to discuss the contributions that young refugees make (and will go on to make) to our society and the ways in which the UK could support them.
