The Venetian Macao
Macau 28-08-07: Asia's largest integrated resort, The Venetian Macao, is now officially open - ushering in a new chapter in the history of Macau.
Hong Kong star Alan Tam and American legend Diana Ross were among the stars at the opening ceremony - held in the 15,000-seat Venetian Arena.
World-renowned Cirque du Soleil also created a special performance for the event -- in the run-up to having a permanent show here - in the 1800-seat Venetian Theatre.
With a price tag of 2.4 billion US dollars, the Italian Renaissance themed Venetian Macau is now the world's second largest building, with convention and exhibition halls, entertainment venues, indoor canals, shops, restaurants and a hotel with 3,000 all-suite guest rooms. Not to mention the 550,000 square-foot ground level casino floor, which itself is now the largest in the world, with 870 tables and over 3,400 slot machines...
The star-studded evening of entertainment -- is just the beginning of what Macau can expect in the years to come. Thanks largely to people like Sheldon Adelson, Macau is at a turning point -- setting new standards for luxury, shopping and entertainment -- and redefining the future of tourism for this region.
Odds are -- this is a sure bet.

MACAU COTAI STRIP WALK | SHERATON | WYNN | MGM | PARISIAN | STUDIO CITY (ULTRA HD 4K)
#macau #cotai #sandscotai #cotaistrip #wynnpalace #mgm
Welcome to our Ultra HD 4K Macau Cotai Strip Walk, where the walk starts from Sheraton Hotel in Sands Cotai Central, towards Wynn Palace, to MGM Hotel, to Parisian Hotel then onto Studio City. Our video is shot in Ultra HD 4K, crystal clear quality, as if you are actually here.
'The Cotai Strip is a term coined by Las Vegas Sands Corporation with regard to its building of a strip of hotel-casinos in the Cotai section of Macau, a special administrative region of the People's Republic of China. Cotai was the result of a major land reclamation project which joined the two islands of Coloane and Taipa, and is part of the Macau government's continuous efforts to expand the region's territory. The reclaimed land in Cotai is to be mainly used for casino developments and Las Vegas Sands Corporation envisioned that their development of several adjacent properties would comprise an area that would resemble the Las Vegas Strip, albeit on a considerably smaller scale.[1][2] Over the past decade, the layout of the Cotai Strip has also slowly developed into a grid like layout with major hotels and casinos (Wynn Palace, MGM Cotai and Galaxy Macau) built not directly connected to the 'strip' as opposed to Las Vegas strip with the majority of major hotels and casinos with front access to the Las Vegas strip.

Top Hotels In Macau China | Must Do Travels
Macau is like Las Vegas and Dubai had a baby, and oh is it wonderful. What was once a Portuguese colony on the Chinese mainland, has since been returned to China and operates as a semi-autonomous government, much like Hong Kong. Here you will find some of the world’s most luxurious hotels, as well as some of the largest casinos in the entire world.
You don’t have to like to gamble to spend some time in Macau, but it sure wouldn’t hurt to keep things interesting. Some of the resorts on our list offer among the highest level of amenities you can find, and they are all a great place to get away and treat yourself to a taste of the good life. These are our picks for the Top 5 Hotels in Macau:
5. PARISIAN
To kick off our list at number 5 is The Parisian Macao which boasts a ½ sized reconstruction of the Eiffel Tower. Having only been open for a couple years now, this has recently become one of the top hotels that tourists look forward to staying at. Even if you don’t book your stay here, and opt instead for one of the other hotels on our Top 5 list, you can still wander around this property and take in the sights and sounds that almost transport you right onto the streets of France.
This hotel features 3,000 guest rooms, and cost more than $2.5 Billion to build. Inside you can find more than 150 retail shops, a convention space, and even a performing arts theater than can seat over 1,200 people.
4. VENETIAN MACAU
Coming in at #4 on our list is the Venetian Macao Resort. This version of the Venetian is themed just like its Las Vegas counterpart, but on a MUCH larger scale. The 39-story hotel has a total square footage of more than 10 and a half million square feet inside, making it one of the largest buildings on Earth. There is even a sports arena on site than can seat more than 15,000 fans for popular concerts and sporting events.
On-site you will find 3,000 guest rooms, as well as luxurious private suites among the top floors, and they even have their own private Cirque du Soliel show called Zaia. Inside you will also find a reconstruction of the canals of Venice Italy where you can hire a Gondola to ride around in style and sightsee. This makes the resort one of the most popular places in all of Macao for tourists to get in their photo ops.
3. MGM COTAI
Right in the middle at number 3 is the MGM Cotai. This modern and luxurious property cost about $3.5 Billion to build, and it reflects that level quality in its facilities and amenities. You can walk through the many art collections housed inside the MGM Cotai, as well as book reservations to see a couple of the unique performances that they have on permanent residence in their theaters.
Although this hotel may have costed considerably more than the other hotels we have mentioned so far on our list, it is significantly smaller in size having barely more than 1,500 guest rooms in total. That makes it about half the size of the Parisian and the Venetian. Unlike some of the other properties you may find in Macao that cater to a more traditional Asian audience, the MGM Cotai was specifically designed to appeal to travelers from all around the globe.
2. WYNN PALACE - MACAU
Coming in at a well-deserved 2nd place is the Wynn Palace. Steve Wynn practically kicked started the modern Macao experience when he opened his first Wynn hotel here back in 2006. Since then the resort developer has created additional properties to keep up with the ever-growing demand for luxury accommodations on the Cotai Strip. Even though the Wynn name was already synonymous with “luxury”, the Wynn Palace takes that expectation to a whole other level in Macao. This 1,700 room property cost almost $4.5 Billion to build, making it the most expensive hotel on our list. If you want to see a hotel that is decorated to the gills, you’ve got to check this one out.
1. GALAXY MACAU
After working our way through the other hotels on this top 5 list, it might be hard to imagine anything getting more extravagant than what we have seen already, but there’s more. Topping off the list and earning the #1 spot is the Galaxy Macau. The Galaxy is a site to behold, and has many intriguing works of art on display, as well as relaxing pools and waterpark too. This hotel has continued to grow in size since it was originally constructed, and the Galaxy continues to increase its earnings in recent years.
Some of the restaurants inside the Galaxy Macau are rated among the best in the world. In a city that has recently become quite well known for its extravagance, it is getting ever increasingly difficult to outdo the last hotel.
The Venetian Macao resort
The luxury hotel is a must-see site in Macao, and holds the largest casino in the world. But the hotel also features a host of cultural activities in its CotaiAreana and Venetian Theatre.

So thus the birth of BeingSteph. I'll be myself here & talk about my day & maybe upload some games with my friends & post some more relatable things on here. STORYLINE
The Galaxy Macau - a multi-billion US dollar casino resort complex - opened on Sunday.
Macau is aiming to draw a broader mix of visitors than the high-rolling mainland Chinese that have helped the city become the world's most lucrative gambling market.
To the crackle of firecrackers and the beat of a traditional Chinese lion dance, officials christened the Galaxy Entertainment Group's newest gambling parlour in a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
A queue of people was already waiting to enter.
The casino, which has 450 gambling tables and 15-hundred slot machines, is the only one scheduled to open in the southern Chinese city this year.
The 1.9 (b) billion US dollar complex boasts a 40-thousand square-foot (4-thousand square-metre) wave pool that generates waves up to 5 feet (1.5 metres) splashing onto an artificial beach built with 350 tons of white sand.
Guests can stay at three hotels - including one run by Singapore's Banyan Tree and another by Japan's Okura - with a total of 22-hundred rooms.
Tropical and Japanese gardens, a Japanese tea pavilion, a Scotch whisky bar, 50 restaurants, a private members' club and a shopping street are other draws.
A nine-screen 3-D movie theatre is set to open later this year.
The launch of Macau's 34th casino comes as the city seeks to diversify its economy away from gambling after years of searing growth that helped it overtake Las Vegas as the world's top casino market.
Macau's casino profits have been boosted by high-spending gamblers visiting from the Chinese mainland, many of whom travel there on short junkets run by companies that lend them money to gamble and then collect debts once they return.
The former Portuguese colony, once considered seedy and corrupt, now aims to develop cultural and entertainment attractions that can draw more middle-class families who will stay longer.
Macau's economy has boomed since a four-decade casino monopoly was broken up in 2002, opening the way for US and Australian operators to enter the market with local partners.

Galaxy Entertainment Group's Grand Waldo Hotel was the first casino to commence operations in Cotai, opening its doors in May, 2006.[citation needed] The construction of many other casino and hotel projects is currently underway. The largest and most notable property on Cotai so far is Las Vegas Sands' Venetian Macao, which opened its doors on August 28, 2007.[3] Melco PBL Holdings opened the City of Dreams directly across the street from the Venetian on June 1, 2009.
