????????????Walking around Asakusa (浅草), Senso-ji (浅草寺) (Temple), Tokyo (東京) Taito City (台東区), Japan (日本). I was walking around Asakusa, Senso-ji around 6 pm in October 2019. It was the busiest time in the evening. I started to walk from Kaminarimon (雷門) which correct name is “Furaijinmon” (風雷神門) through Nakamisedoori (仲見世通り) which is very famous for traditional shopping area, Hozomon (宝蔵門), Five Story Pagoda (五重塔) and Hondo (本堂) Main Hall (Japanese Buddhism) of Senso-ji (浅草寺). After that, I came back to Kaminarimon (雷門) through the street which is beside Nakamisedoori. It was about 20 minutes of walking, but it was absolutely worth it. It’s in Japan took by Apple iPhone XS Max 【4K video Dual OIS Dual 12MP rear cameras】

【Tokyo Guide】Old life style of Japan#1(Ueno Shitamachi Museum)
This museum was established to teach future generations about the culture of the shitamachi. The shitamachi was originally an area of Edo* where the common people lived. The word shitamachi is composed of the word shita meaning down and machi meaning town, and one can often see it translated into English literally as downtown. However, shitamachi is not the same as the English word downtown, which refers to a city's central businessdistrict. The shitamachi name originated from the actual level of the land in the area. In Edo, the land to the south-east of Edo Castle (now the Imperial Palace) was lowlands, and the land to the north-west was a plateau, and during the formative years of the city, the lowlands became the place where artisans and merchants lived. This lowlands area near Edo Castle became known as shitamachi.
There were many unique qualities that defined the shitamachi and still exercise an influence over the area today. For example, the shitamachi's high population density resulted in the building of crowded tenement houses called nagaya. These nagaya were made of wood and built very close together, which rendered the region highly susceptible to fire. This living environment bred a people with a unique disposition and way of life. The culture of the shitamachi is the culture of Tokyo's common people, and it contributed greatly to the culture of Edo just as it contributes to Tokyo as a city today.
People's lifestyles change when their living environment changes, and old culture is naturally lost over time. In 1868, Edo was renamed Tokyo and the city began to modernize, but traces of the old ways remained in the shitamachi. The massive destruction caused by the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923 and the wartime fires of 1945, and the reconstruction following these disasters are what really changed Tokyo. The 1960s saw a development boom spurred on by the 1964 Tokyo Summer Olympics, and this era also saw a dramatic increase in the use of electric appliances, all which further sped the degree of change in the city. The initial movement for the establishment of this museum began during that time.
During this period of rapid change the people did gain convenience and comfort, but they began to lose or forget many other things. The desire to somehow preserve these things for future generations was the basis for founding the museum. Many supporters from within Taito-ku and beyond contributed a variety of items, and the Shitamachi Museum opened in 1980.

Ueno Park | Taito, Tokyo Japan
Ueno Park (上野公園 Ueno Kōen) is a spacious public park in the Ueno district of Taitō, Tokyo, Japan. The park was established in 1873 on lands formerly belonging to the temple of Kan'ei-ji. Amongst the country's first public parks, it was founded following the western example as part of the borrowing and assimilation of international practices that characterizes the early Meiji period. The home of a number of major museums, Ueno Park is also celebrated in spring for its cherry blossoms and hanami. In recent times the park and its attractions have drawn over ten million visitors a year, making it Japan's most popular city park.

Japan Trip 2015 Tokyo Forty-seven Ronin (Akoroshis) in Yanaka Kannonji Temple.
Yanaka is a small town in the city of Temple, however buildings with more than 70, so old town name is Yanaka teramachi(temple city).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Temple noted in connection with the 47 akōrōshis
47 akōrōshis are widely known in Japan through the story “Chūshingura” which describes 47 samurais of Akō ( present Hyōgo prefecture ) who avenged their master Asano Naganori by making a raid on his foe Kira Yoshinaka. Two of 47 akōrōshis, Chikamatsu Kanroku Yukishige and Okuda Sadaemon Yukitaka, were brothers of Bunryō who was studying at this temple. Bunryō later became the 6th head bonze of this temple and was named the Great Bonze Chōzan.
Bunryō is said to have done all he could to help akōrōshis and it is said that they held many meetings at this temple. The book called “Genroku kaikyoroku” written by Fukumoto Nichinan in the late Meiji period mentions that Kanroku left his last words “Please tell Bunryō in the Chofukuji Temple that I am willing to give my life to avenge the death of my master today”. This temple was originally called the Chofukuji Temple and was renamed the Kannonji Temple in 1716.
The pagoda to the right of the main hall is known as a memorial tower of akōrōshis and people still visit it today. On the upper part of the pagoda was engraved Sanskrit words that stand for the Buddhas in the north, the south, the east and the west. On the lower part, Hokyoindaranikyo ( a sutra ) and on March in 1707, the name of the 6th Head Bonze of this temple Chōzan was engraved.

Graves of the Forty-seven Ronin at Sengaku-ji
The revenge of the forty-seven Ronin (四十七士 Shi-jū-shichi-shi?, forty-seven samurai), also known as the Akō vendetta or the Genroku Akō incident (元禄赤穂事件 Genroku akō jiken?), is a 17th-century historical event and a legend in Japan in which a band of ronin (leaderless samurai) avenged the death of their master. One noted Japanese scholar described the tale, the best known example of the samurai code of honor, bushidō, as the country's national legend.

Japan Trip: Spring 2017 | Vlog #3 | Isshin-ji Temple, Shitennō-ji Temple, Arcades & Dōtonbori
Welcome to the third episode of my Japan Trip 2017 vlog series.
This episode Itchy and Rodier take in the culture of Japan by visiting some temples/shrines around Tennoji Ward, Osaka, specifically Isshin-ji Temple and Shittenno-ji Temple. They also come across hundreds of wild Turtles. Later they head back to Den-Den Town to play some more arcade games at the Taito Station. Rodier plays a game inside a virtual Mech pod called Kido Senshi Gundam: Senjo no Kizuna (a.k.a Mobile Suit Gundam: Bonds of the Battlefield) & also tries out Dance Dance Revolution. After, they head out to Dotonbori for dinner (various Yakitori) and to also take in the magnificent lighting and shop fronts, some which are automated + more.
Rodier's inner Weeb level grows a little stronger...
We were in Japan from 30th March 2017 - 4th May 2017. Expect plenty of videos! If you ever wish to visit Japan, I highly recommend getting a Japan Rail Pass. With this Rodier and I were able to travel via JR Trains & Shinkansen (Bullet Train) to a great amount of places throughout Japan as many times as we wanted with no extra cost.

Sensoji Temple (浅草寺) in Asakusa, Tokyo Metropolis, Japan
坂東観音巡礼 第13番 浅草観音 浅草寺
Sensoji Temple is a beautiful city temple in the Asakusa district of Taito ward in Tokyo. Asakusa is a district that is known for it's ancient heritage and the beautiful Sensoji temple. The magnificent new landmark of Tokyo, Tokyo Sky Tree is close by across the Sumida river.
Sensoji temple is the most visited temple in the entire Kanto region. The temple is not only beautiful but also close to the center of the Tokyo city and easily accessible.
Many of the buildings in the premises like the Hondo and the gates have been restored and rebuilt many times. There is a five storied pagoda in the premises and it has been recently rebuilt in the 1970s, as the original pagoda that was built in the ninth century has been burned down and other rebuilds have been destroyed during World War II.
Sensoji Temple is number thirteenth in the Bando (33 Kannon Temples of Kanto region) pilgrimage circuit.
All and all this is a beautiful temple, hope you get a chance to visit it, during your trips to Japan.
Taito City Kappabashi
Taito City Kappabashi 3/19/2019. This early morning we are walking around looking for the post office and wandering around Kappabashi. Aside from the interesting green or blue characters you'll see here and there this area is knowing to be the kitchen town for supplying the restaurant trade. It's nice to have quiet less crowded areas in the city. Enjoy!

The most famous temple in Tokyo. Sensou-ji Temple in Asakusa. 1
Sensou-ji Temple is a temple that is in Tokyo and is very famous and exists from of old.
It took a picture of this animation on January 1 when the most a lot of people visited here in one year.
Tens of thousands of people will visit here in a day on January 1.
I think that I can understand the appearance from this animation.
A lot of traditional meals and souvenirs of Japan can be bought around Sensou-ji Temple.
OKONOMIYAKI or TENPURA is a best selection to challenge a traditional, delicious meal here.
