Ikebukuro Station
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ikebukuro Station (池袋駅 Ikebukuro-eki) is a major railway station located in the Ikebukuro district of Toshima, Tokyo, Japan. With 2.71 million passengers on an average daily in 2007, it is the second-busiest railway station in the world (after Shinjuku Station), and the busiest station in the Tobu, Seibu and Tokyo Metro networks. It primarily serves commuters from Saitama and other residential areas northwest of the city centre. It is the Tokyo terminal of the Seibu Ikebukuro Line and the Tōbu Tōjō Line.
Ikebukuro
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ikebukuro (池袋) is a commercial and entertainment district in Toshima, Tokyo, Japan. Toshima ward offices, Ikebukuro station, and several shops, restaurants, and enormous department stores are located within city limits.
At the center of Ikebukuro is the train and subway station, a huge urban gathering shared by the JR East lines, the Seibu Ikebukuro Line and the Tōbu Tōjō Line. It is one of the main commuter hubs in the western Yamanote area of Tokyo. Ikebukuro Station is the second busiest station in Japan, second only to Shinjuku Station.
Around the station are the Seibu and Tōbu department stores. Seibu, written with the characters for West and Musashi (province) 西武, is on the east end of the station and Tōbu, written with the characters for East and Musashi 東武, is on the west end. East of the station, on the site of Sugamo Prison, stands Sunshine 60, which was Tokyo's tallest building at the time of its construction. Adjacent to Sunshine City, on Meiji-Dori is the Toyota Amlux Building which houses the Toyota showroom. Otome Road, a leading shopping area for otaku products aimed at women, is located nearby. Marui and Don Quijote also have department stores in the area. The principal electronics retailer in Ikebukuro is Bic Camera. There is a small pleasure district located in Nishi-Ikebukuro, similar to Shinjuku's Kabukichō.

AMAZING! Old 1984 Mitsubishi Traction Scenic Elevator@MS Bldg. 2, Kamata, Ota, Tokyo, Japan
Filmed in January 2016. This is yet another amazing mid-1980s Mitsubishi scenic elevator in Kamata, Ota Ward, Tokyo - what a beautiful scenic elevator design! It's still original, and it's in quite a good shape and it still feels quite modern! For some reason, floors 5-8 are locked-off. The building was completed in November 1984! This elevator is considerably older than I thought - I thought it was from the late 1980s or early 1990s, but it dates back to 1984!
Location: MS Building 2 (MSビル2, 〒144-0051 Tōkyō-to, Ōta-ku, Nishikamata, 7 Chome−7−4), Nishikamata, Ota Ward, Tokyo Metropolis, Japan
Brand: Mitsubishi

Year installed: 1984 (Completed in November 1984)
Floors served: 8 (1, 2, 3, 4, (5), (6), (7), (8))
Serial: Unknown
Capacity: 9 persons or 600 kg
Note: This elevator makes some werd sounds when starting - like there would be water on top of the cab or something. Anyway, it's really amazing - what a beautiful scenic elevator design!

Amazing but busy 1987 Mitsubishi Traction Elevators@OIOI, Le Front, Kawasaki, Greater Tokyo, Japan
Filmed in December 2015.
There are 6 Mitsubishi elevators inside this Department Store next to the JR Kawasaki Railway Station in Greater Tokyo, Japan. All the elevators are still original, but they are quite busy. The department store was opened on 11.03.1988, so the elevators might have been manufactured in late 1987.
Here are all the links to the 1987 Mitsubishi passenger elevators:

Serial: Unknown

Note: Big and busy elevators, they should have made three elevators here. Everything is still original here - amazing standard Mitsubishi fixtures used ~1984 - 1995, and there are also wheelchair accessible panels. There are also bumpers in the doors, old-looking Mitsubishi logo om the door tracks and lamp floor indicators. This kind of Mitsubishi chime was used around the late 1980s, but there is no floor announcement here.
1996 Mitsubishi Scenic Elevator with Clock Outer Indicator at Plaza Senayan Atrium
Mitsubishi Elevator pertama dalam video ini. Sudah lama tidak ke Mal ini sehubungan dengan Monumen Jam Marygold yang sempat menjadi trauma (2000 - 2012).
Sekilas tentang Mitsubishi Elevator.
Luar : B, I, II, III
Dalam : B, 1, 2, 3
Khas Indikator luarnya menggunakan bilangan romawi.
First Mitsubishi Elevator in this video. I came again to this mall due the Monumental Clock in the back of Elevator which is the trauma in my childhood (2000 - 2012).
Overview of the Mitsubishi Elevator.
Previously been recorded in the Mitsubishi FX Senayan of F1 - F5 using a Mitsubishi 1989. While in Plaza Senayan using Mitsubishi in 1992 (precisely at the Sogo) and in the atrium at modernization by Mitsubishi in 1998. Chimes used as the FX, but after modernization, chime are original. It is best that most resembles the outward indicators of lift in the 1950s (disposable needles clocks) is a typical indicator from the comedy Mr.Bean was in room 426.
How-ever, and a minimum passenger capacity not known, I only describe the service floor.
Outer: B, I, II, III
In: B, 1, 2, 3
Typical indicators exterior use roman numbers.
