Roppongi Nightlife Minato Tokyo Japan by HourPhilippines.com
Roppongi Nightlife Minato Tokyo Japan. Roppongi (六本木?, literally six trees) is a district of Minato, Tokyo, Japan, famous as home to the rich Roppongi Hills area and an active night club scene. Many foreign embassies are located in Roppongi, and the night life is popular with locals and foreigners alike. It is in the southern portion of the Yamanote Line loop, south of Akasaka and north of Azabu.
Starting in the late 1960s, Roppongi became popular among Japanese people and foreigners alike for its disco scene, which attracted many of Tokyo's entertainment elites. Contributing to the international scene was the location of several foreign embassies and foreign corporate offices in the Roppongi area. However, many dance clubs shut down in the recession following the market crash of 1989.
The Roppongi area received a major economic boost in 2002--2003 when the Izumi Garden Tower and the Roppongi Hills high-rise complexes were completed. These projects brought high-end office and condominium space to Roppongi for the first time. The Tokyo Midtown project, which was completed in 2006, and includes the first Tokyo Ritz-Carlton Hotel, continued this trend.
The area features numerous bars, nightclubs, strip clubs, restaurants, hostess clubs, cabarets, and other forms of entertainment. Among the expatriate community, the area tends to be favored by business people, students, and off-duty US military personnel. Overall, the neighborhood caters to a younger crowd.
Roppongi crossing
Clubs can range from large, multi-level establishments, to smaller one-room clubs located in upper levels of buildings. In more recent times some of the larger venues with known Yakuza connections have closed. Around Roppongi crossing are a number of clubs which feature foreign performers. There are also a number of both foreign- and Japanese-operated bars catering to different crowds. Recently, Roppongi has enjoyed a growing reputation for its organized events such as art festivals, dart and billiard tournaments, pub crawls, robot exhibitions, beauty pageants, and so on.
Restaurants in Roppongi vary from upscale Japanese fare to popular international restaurants.

TOKYO JOYPOLIS - Fun rides and cutting-edge VR attractions
Tokyo Joypolis at Odaiba in Tokyo is one of the largest indoor theme parks in Japan. Here, you can enjoy games that make use of state-of-the-art technology.
▶︎ READ THE ARTICLE HERE:
Recently, attractions using 3D and VR technology are gaining popularity in Japan. The world's first free-roam VR shooting game ZERO LATENCY VR (Note: reservation is required in advance) is an attraction that you can't experience anywhere else. Up to six people fight together in a team using headsets with microphones to knock down enemies while moving freely around (no wires!) in a game arena.
Other thrilling attractions are Halfpipe Tokyo where you are standing on a snowboard which is speeding through a halfpipe and a 3D haunted house...OMG, that was too scary to be true!
Tokyo Joypolis is a great thema park with games and attractions for children up to adults. So if you are a big SEGA (or video game) fan or if its raining cats and dogs: this is the place to go!!

Roppongi Hills Mori Tower: Tokyo City View at Night | Japan
A video of our 2018 visit to the Mori Tower, Tokyo City View at night, in the Roppongi Hills Minato-ku area of Tokyo, Japan. These night views are from the 52nd floor of the skyscraper, at a height of 238 m (781 ft).
This high rise observatory building in Roppongi Hills has two observatories, the open air rooftop SKY DECK and the indoor TOKYO CITY VIEW (六本木ヒルズ森タワー). When we were there, only the indoor viewing deck was open, so this indoor panorama observation deck is the only area I could film, but it still shows a beautiful aerial view of the city lights in the surrounding area.
The Mori Tower was built in 2003 and is named after its builder Minoru Mori.
In this video you can see:
- The Tokyo Tower lit up at night
- The Tokyo Skytree in the far distance
- The Shinjuku and Shibuya area
- The Metropolitan Expressway / highway
- Panoramic Modern City Skyline Views
- the cafe and bar area with seating, barstools & sofas

Roppongi Night Walk - Japan Uncut
A Saturday night walk down the main strip in Roppongi, Tokyo Japan.
This is the second video in what will become the Japan Uncut playlist. Yes, I've finally settled on a name for the new playlist for the random single takes that upload without any editing, grading or music. This one was shot on the work camera. without any real stabilization in one of Tokyo's aver-busy party nightlife locations. See what there is to see. Hear what there is to hear. Be glad you can't smell what there is to smell.

Yakitori in Tokyo (Japanese Food Tour) ★ SoloTravelBlog
► Check out the next Japanese food video:
I had some Yakitori in Tokyo. It's pretty buckwild Japanese food to say the least. Not only was the dipping sauce delicious to the max, but the grilled sticks of chicken, beef, pork, ginko, and egg were MY-T-FINE. Add some all-you-can-drink self-serve booze into the mix, and you've got a recipe for a seriously delicious meal. Long story short, yakitori in Japan is a Japanese food fiesta of buckwild proportions.

Hey there, are you interested in making your own YouTube videos? If so, here is a list of gear I use to make the videos. If you have any more questions about it, feel free to message me at solotravelblog@gmail.com ;)
CAMERA & AUDIO EQUIPMENT I USE:
Camera: Sony RX100 M3 ►
Voiceover Mic: Samson Go Mic ►
In-Field Mic: Zoom H1 ►
Tripod: Manfrotto Pixi ►
EXPLANATION: I try to keep my equipment as simple as possible. 90% of the time, all I use to film is my Sony RX100 M3, and all I use for audio is my Samson Go Mic (which I use to record voiceovers after filming). Occasionally I use the Zoom H1 for audio if I want to record audio in-field. As for the Pixi tripod, I sometimes use it while filming food, but most of the time I use it to mount my Samson Go Mic on a desk for voiceovers (in conjunction with the other accessories, listed below).
MODULAR COMPONENTS I USE:
Smatree SmaPole S3 (hollow pole only) ►
Joby Action Arm (arm only) ►
Joby Hand Grip (hand grip only) ►
Joby Hub Adapter ►
EXPLANATION: Because I'm often traveling, I prefer to have the lightest, smallest, most versatile components available. Therefore, I use bits and pieces from the above gear sets, and these bits and pieces can be connected together in a huge variety of ways. For example, they can be made into a long selfie stick, they can be mounted to my tripod to make it extra-tall, and they can be used with my tripod and Go Mic to position the microphone directly in front of my face while I'm recording voiceovers at a desk.
MICROPHONE ACCESSORIES I USE:
Foam Mic Cover ►
Pop Filter ►
EXPLANATION: To improve sound quality for voiceovers, I place a mic cover on the Samson Go Mic, then use an elastic band to hang the pop filter on top. This is not the best audio protection available, but it is the most minimalistic and space-efficient gear for traveling. The mic cover can also be used on the rare occasion that I record audio with the Zoom H1.
GEAR I USE FOR CHARGING ON-THE-GO:
Anker Mini PowerBank ►
Silicone Cables ►
Adapter for Micro to Mini ►
Adapter for Micro to Lightning ►
EXPLANATION: Anker's lipstick-sized powerbanks are small yet powerful. I travel with two, so that if one has a low charge, I can charge it in my hotel while I'm out and about with the other powerbank. Using the powerbank in conjunction with the short, durable silicone cables and micro/mini/lightning adapters means I can charge just about any device while on-the-go.
