Toneri Children's Sumo Wrestling is held at Toneri Suwa Shrine locating Toneri Nichome Adachi Ward Tokyo Japan evey year on fourth Sunday of August.

Kindergarteners and primary schoolboys from first graders to sixth graders gather the shrine naked wearing only sumo mawashi (white fundoshi loincloth) so that they dedicate sumo to the god of the shrine.

Sumo is the tipical Japanese naked fundoshi calture headed by Ohzumo the professinal sumo wrestling. Sumo is called Kokugi the national sports since Edo era about 400 years ago.

【51】 ＣＤ写真集「とねり少年相撲」（スライドショー形式）

　東京都足立区舎人二丁目に鎮座する舎人諏訪神社では、毎年、８月第四日曜日にとねり少年相撲大会が開催されます。年によっては同じ足立区に所在する境川部屋の力士も参加します。

　参加する子供たちは、幼稚園児の年少・年中・年長組と小学校１年～６年までの児童で、相撲まわしには、晒木綿の褌を締めています。相撲は、400年前の江戸時代から盛んに行われ、大相撲を頂点とした日本の国技であり、典型的な日本の裸褌文化です。

　今回、読者のご要望にお応えし、「とねり少年角力大会」と「とねり少年相撲大会」に発表した90枚の画像に加え、約200枚の未発表画像を追加してＣＤ化し、「とねり子供相撲」と題して一般に頒布することになりました。

　このＣＤをMS-Windows対応パソコンのディスク・ドライブに挿入すると、一番太鼓などのＢＧＭが流れるなか、解説文を含む330枚の画像が5秒毎にディスプレー一杯に映し出される大迫力のスライドショーを楽しむことができます。上映時間は、約28分です。画面にはコントローラーが内蔵されていますので、好きなところで止まったり、スキップしたりして、自由に楽しむことができます。最大Ａ３サイズまでプリントすることも可能です。個人で楽しむ限りは、自由にプリントアウトできます。
