Prague Vacation Travel Guide | Expedia
Prague – a city fit for a storybook. Let us show you the best and most beautiful places in the city – adventure is waiting for you here!
When ready, browse vacation packages to Prague:
#Prague is a city in the Czech Republic where sleek, modern buildings share space with ancient gothic architecture. Wander down the twisting cobblestone streets – you’re sure to find something new and exciting. After all, even locals get lost here.
A Prague #vacation usually involves the Royal Route, a historic coronation path that will take you through Old Town. Walk a few blocks to Old Town Square and sample local street fare in the shadow of old castles and palaces. Cross over the Charles Bridge and climb up to Prague Castle, a network of palaces, churches, and numerous museums.
Your Prague #sightseeing must pause at St. Vitus Cathedral, a massive gothic structure dating back 600 years. You’ll see people gathered under the statue of St. Wenceslas to share their daily adventures. The people here are friendly, so why not join them and chime in with your own stories?
For now, we hope you enjoy watching this #travel #guide as much as we enjoyed making it.

Czech Republic (Europe) Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Czech Republic.
Prague, the Czech Republic’s capital, ‘Golden City’, is full of history. The entrance to the historic centre of Stare Mesto is formed by the Late Gothic, Powder Tower. The Altstädter Ring is known as the heart of the city and the large Old Town Square is framed by magnificent, elegant town houses and churches. The most famous of all the bridges across the Vltava is the Charles Bridge from where the Coronation route led from Vyšehrad to Prague Castle on the Hradschin. Kutna Hora is situated close to Prague and historically is one of the country’s most important cities and rightly referred to as a treasure chest. Due to valuable deposits of silver, apart from Prague, it was the most important city in the Kingdom of Bohemia from the thirteenth to the eighteenth century. In the peaceful hills of Bohemia’s Moravian Highlands, is Litomyšl and its splendid mediaeval marketplace. It was once located on an important trading route, a fact that enabled its inhabitants to enjoy much prosperity. The tranquil town of Kromĕříž in the southeast of todays’ Czech Republic is a milestone of nineteenth century Habsburgian history. Following the devastation of the Thirty Years’ War, Bishop Charles Liechtenstein had the castle rebuilt. Kromĕříž Castle was the traditional summer residence of the bishops of Olomouc and became a key influence in the town’s cultural life. In the west is Telč, once an important trading post between Prague and Vienna. In the thirteenth century the small settlement was protected by a castle and in the fourteenth century was granted the status of a city. Today it is considered to be the most beautiful mediaeval town in the Czech Republic. Picturesque villages, impressive castles and mediaeval towns have made this country into a priceless gem. Here fairy tales and legends still blossom and today the Czech Republic is most certainly a cultural land set within the very heart of Europe.

Prague - City Video Guide
The Central European city of Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic and is one of the world's great architectural jewels.
Like a city from a children's story book the city conjures up images of romantic fairy stories and dark gothic folk tales.
The city is a cobblestone labyrinth where even locals get happily lost. An easy way to discover Prague is to follow the Royal Route, which starts at the Powder Tower and ends at Prague Castle.
Along the way, stop at Old Town Square, a plaza surrounded by former palaces. Highlights here include the Astronomical Clock and Tyn Church. Explore the Old Town to discover sidewalk cafes, galleries and the ancient Jewish Quarter.
Pass beneath the Bridge Tower, cross the beautiful Charles Bridge, then climb the hill to Prague Castle. Rising above the castle are the 600 year-old gothic spires of St Vitus Cathedral.
Nearby, visit the tiny houses of Golden Lane, once the homes of castle guards, and later, the city's goldsmiths.
At night, locals and travelers meet under the statue of St Wencesias, to begin even more adventures in this most magical of cities.
Prague Food Tour - ULTIMATE CZECH FOOD + Street Food in Czech Republic!

PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC - I was excited to visit Prague, a city I’ve been wanting to visit for many years. In this video, we’re going on an ultimate Czech food tour of Prague, and doing a full walking tour of the attractions and center of the city along the way. #Prague #CzechRepublic #CzechFood
Café Savoy - For one of the most historical and beautiful restaurants and cafes in all of Prague, head to Café Savoy. It’s one of those restaurants that’s as much a museum as it is a restaurant. It’s a good place to have breakfast, or to have coffee. I had the Czech style breakfast set. Total price - 685 CZK ($29.62)
Párek v rohlíku – Ladislav Červený - If there’s one Czech street food your don’t want to miss, it’s sausages and hotdogs. And after doing some research, I discovered that not too far from where I was staying, was a popular local hotdog stall just outside the metro station. What was amazing to me is that the bun was toasted on the inside, but the outside of the bun was so soft. Great hotdogs, well worth going out of your way to eat when you’re in Prague. Price - 25 CZK ($1.08) per hotdog
Restaurace U Bansethů - My favorite type of food to eat is classic, traditional food, anywhere I travel. Restaurace U Bansethů is a restaurant with over 100 years of history, and I was very excited to go there. Menu was all in Czech, but our waiter was friendly and helpful. Something you have to note about Czech food restaurants (at least in my experience so far) is that they often have dishes of the day, and don’t have the full menu. So it’s best to choose the dishes of the day. I ordered their signature stuffed duck, a plate of tongue and dumplings, and we also tried a beef stew, which was similar to goulash, but had a different name. Food was delicious, and especially paired with Czech beer. 477 CZK ($20.62) - Total price for everything
Lahůdky Zlatý kříž - Next up on this ultimate Prague food tour, we headed back to the center of Prague and I ordered a few Czech open faced sandwiches from Lahůdky Zlatý kříž. Great local place to get food on the go. 77 CZK ($3.33)
Zahradní restaurace Letenský zámeček - Next, we headed on a little walk across the river and up the hill to a beer garden and terrance overlooking old town of Prague. I would highly recommend visiting, the ambiance was fantastic, and the views were spectacular.
Lokál - Beer Restaurant - Finally, when I reached out to you on social media about where to eat in Prague, one of the top suggestions was Lokál, a place loved by all for their great Czech beer, and for their food. We had a great experience, and it’s the type of place that would be fun to go with many friends. 726 CZK ($31.39)
Thank you for watching this ultimate Czech food tour of Prague, Czech Republic!

THE CITY OF PRAGUE MUSEUM || PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC || travel to europe || trip to prague
THUMBS UP AND SUBSCRIBE IF YOU ENJOYED !
If you are in love with the city of Prague as usually many tourists are, you should visit the City of Prague Museum. It tells a story of the city of Prague from the period of prehistory and its first inhabitants.
This museum is located in a beautiful building built in 1989. The City of Prague Museum hosts both permanent and temporary exhibitions.
One of the attractions of the City of Prague Museum is certainly Langweil’s model. Langweil’s model is a realistic model of the city of Prague from the 19th, built only out of cardboard and small wooden elements. Antonin Langweil was a library attendant who, in his free time, started building a realistic model of Prague, its buildings and streets, in the scale 1:480. Recently, a 3D video of the model was made, which lasts for about 6 minutes and can be watched in the museum. This video puts you on the streets of Prague and with a soundtrack it tries to depict the atmosphere of the city from that period. Nevertheless, this 3D projection is a projection made from the cardboard model, therefore do not expect great graphics and a realistic representation of the city.
Lets be friends :)
