Strong storm hits Tortoreto beach in Italy
North-eastern Italy was hit by storms and heavy winds on Tuesday evening, which downed trees and disrupted traffic in the region.
Video shot by a local postman showed sunbathers on Tortoreto beach running away from a fast-approaching storm .
The bad weather followed a few days of soaring temperature and was caused by a contact between hot and cold weather fronts, local officials said.
Hailstorms damaged cars and rooftops, while strong winds tore down many trees on the Adriatic sea in Tortoreto in Teramo province and Osimo in Ancona province.
