A Walk Around 4 Corners Monument (AZ, UT, CO, NM)
The Four Corners Monument marks the quadripoint in the Southwestern United States where the states of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah meet. It is the only point in the United States shared by four states, leading to the area being named the Four Corners region. The monument also marks the boundary between two semi-autonomous Native American governments, the Navajo Nation, which maintains the monument as a tourist attraction, and the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe Reservation.
The origins of the state boundaries marked by the monument occurred just prior to, and during, the American Civil War, when the United States Congress acted to form governments in the area to combat the spread of slavery to the region. When the early territories were formed, their boundaries were designated along meridian and parallel lines. Beginning in the 1860s, these lines were surveyed and marked. These early surveys included some errors, but even so, the markers placed became the legal boundaries, superseding the written descriptions of geographical meridians and parallels. This includes the Four Corners Monument, which has been legally established as the corner of the four states.
6 OF THE BEST INSTAGRAM SPOTS IN THE US SOUTHWEST | US SOUTH WEST ROAD TRIP LOCATIONS
Join me on a US Southwest roadtrip through Arizona, Utah and Nevada to explore some of the most instagrammable spots in the USA.
My Instagram: instagram.com/alajode
Our first road trip in the US South West will take us to 6 of the best Instagram spots in Arizona and Utah.
Our Instagram adventure begins in Sedona, where we hike to Devil's Bridge and I brave the heights to get a cool sunset shot.
Next, it's on to Havasu Falls, which involves a full day hike to get there - but the Instagram picture (and the view!!) make it worth it.
Then it's time to visit Horseshoe, one of the most photographed locations in the US South West. It's not hard to see why photographers and Instagrammers alike love it!
We stay in Page, AZ, for the next Instagram location: Antelope Canyon. Instead of visiting Lower Antelope Canon like most travellers do, we take an alternative tour to Canyon X, where tripods are allowed and we have the entire slot canyon to ourselves. The canyon is one of the most Instagrammable places in the world because it's so photogenic.
Before we head to a much bigger canyon - the Grand Canyon! - we make a stop at Monument Valley. There's a classic Instagram shot that almost every Instagrammer takes here: sitting or standing on one of the two rocks in front of the view of the monuments. I take the same, but I do it as sunrise so that we get a sun star over the other rock.
The Grand Canyon concludes this video and it's the hardest places to take photos of all. It's just impossible to show the scale and perspective in photos, but as I mentioned... you can't visit the Grand Canyon and NOT share it on Instagram.
We have two more US road trips planned and they'll be up on this travel channel over the next few weeks. I post new videos every Wednesday and Sunday at 5:30PM GMT. See you next time and thanks for watching!
RV'ing at the Wupatki National Monument near Flagstaff AZ
Experience A Legacy! Wupatki!
Here in one of the warmest driest places on the Colorado Plateau, with little obvious food or water, people lived and others visited from far and wide. Trade items from the Pacific to the Gulf of Mexico have been discovered here. Eventually the builders of Wupatki and nearby pueblos moved on, but on trails, and through items left behind, you can let their stories touch you!
Wupatki National Monument was established by President Calvin Coolidge on December 9, 1924, to preserve Citadel and Wupatki pueblos. Monument boundaries have been adjusted several times since then, and now include additional pueblos and other archeological resources on a total of 35,422 acres.
Wupatki represents a cultural crossroads, home to numerous groups of people over thousands of years. Understanding of earlier people comes from multiple perspectives, including the traditional history of the people themselves and interpretations by archeologists of structures and artifacts that remain
The Wupatki National Monument is a National Monument located in north-central Arizona, near Flagstaff.

(July 24-27, 2015) Our last AZ vlog. We ended out Roadtrip visiting Sedona which was a really pretty town. The red rocks there were amazing. Then we headed back to my inlaws home where we hung out and got some family time in before we headed back to Arkansas. This was such a fun trip and was so happy that our kids got to spend time with their family.
Haven't seen my last vlog: We went to the Grand Canyon!

ABOUT:
Some of the best scenery in central Arizona can be seen right from a car window along the Apache Trail. A route for the adventurous traveler, the trail is partly paved with a section of the route graded dirt. The road was originally constructed in the 1930s to support the development of dams along the Salt River. The trail is a day-trip from the Phoenix Area and the drive is an experience you will never forget. Along a loop drive of 80 miles, you will find spectacular scenery to rival any in the state. The unpaved section of the trail provides magnificent views of twisted igneous mountains with dense forests of saguaro and ferocactus with several deep blue lakes along the way. That’s just a small part of the adventure and beauty you’ll find here!

Sedona Arizona Road Trip, Highway 89A
After landing at the Sedona Airport we drive through downtown Sedona in search of a Mexican restaurant named the Javelina Cantina Sedona. The food was great and the salsa was fantastic. Really enjoyed it. After that we left Sedona and traveled on Arizona 89A up to Flagstaff where our hotel was. The story I'm telling about a crash at the airport happened on october 8th , 2013 as we were inbound and forced us to divert to Flagstaff. A single engine Mooney was landing on runway 21 with a strong gusty wind and he touched down fast and long. The pilot then tried to go around. On either end of the runway is a drop off and the Mooney and it's 3 occupants went off the edge, 250 feet down the side of the mountain. Fortunately all three survived but, the airport was closed till the next day. Things to do in Sedona AZ.

BRAND NEW Otis Gen2 Traction Elevators @ Hampton Inn, Dunedin FL
This is a new hotel out by Honeymoon Island on FL-586. A friend had told me about the new elevators here so I went ahead and stopped by here after some fun at the beach, though I had to do this quick to avoid suspicion (I got caught anyway). Most floors were locked out anyway as it used a card system.
I've decided to stick with Sony Vegas as Premiere is a pain, and is subscription anyway.
Review: Busting likelyhood is very high, but the staff seemed okay with me filming; ask them to film them if you can. Security cameras are installed facing elevators. All floors except L and G are locked off and require a card. Otherwise, it's a pretty decent cab.

Greyhound Bus - Phoenix to Las Vegas - Interstate 17
I rode the greyhound bus from Phoenix, AZ to Las Vegas, NV. It some cut scenes in between this video because either the battery died, memory ran out, the bus made a few stops or i had to switch a different recording devices! I do not know on which model it is so if you know what type of greyhound this is just let me know okay? Also the bus stops at the following cities; Glendale, Camp Verde, Flagstaff, Kingman and Bullhead City!

Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick Re-Presents Medal to Southwest Ambulance Paramedic
Selfless Act by Southwest Ambulance Paramedic Francisco Cisco Preciado Leads to Congressman Mitchell and Congresswoman Kirkpatrick Re-Presenting National Star of Life Medal.
He didn't know anyone was watching.
In a touching tribute to a friend, Southwest Ambulance Paramedic Francisco Cisco Preciado placed his own Star of Life medal inside the casket of his friend and co-worker, Emergency Medical Technician Mark Vernick, 32. Vernick was killed on January 8, 2010 in a motorcycle collision that occurred on his way home from working a shift.
But someone was watching.
It was possibly the most selfless act I've ever seen in EMS, said Ken Daughtery, Market General Manager for Southwest Ambulance in Pinal County, Arizona.
The Star of Life is a national award to recognize the country's most outstanding Paramedics and EMTs. Cisco was one of only three in Arizona to receive the award in 2009.
In the world of EMS, it's not a casual award, it's THE award, Daughtery added. For Cisco to so quietly and unassumingly leave his medal to lay with Mark forever was one of the most powerful things I've ever witnessed.
Unbeknownst to Cisco, Southwest Ambulance contacted the American Ambulance Association who agreed to send a replacement medal to be re-presented.
In separate events, the medal was re-presented. Congresswoman Kirkpatrick met with Cisco at Casa Grande Regional Hospital on Memorial Day, May 31 to re-present the medal. A few days later on Thursday June 3, Congressman Harry Mitchell re-presented the Star of Life medal during a special ceremony at Southwest Ambulance's headquarters campus. Southwest Ambulance is in Congressman Mitchell's congressional district. Also, when Cisco received the award in Washington DC, Congressman Mitchell took the time to meet with him as part of an EMS Day on the Hill program. Congresswoman Kirkpatrick represent Casa Grande, where Cisco lives and works, as did Mark Vernick.
Francisco Cisco Preciado lives and works in Casa Grande, Arizona. He joined Southwest Ambulance as a Paramedic in 2005 after eight years with the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coastguard. He began his EMS career in the State of Washington as a Firefighter/ EMT. Cisco was initially nominated to receive this prestigious award because he truly epitomizes Southwest Ambulance's Tradition of Caring in his attitude and in every aspect of his daily performance. His selflessness displayed at Mark Vernick's funeral only further shows Cisco's character and why he is so worthy of this national, lifetime achievement award.
Southwest Ambulance Paramedics Andria Carter and Russ Yeskin also received Star of Life medals in 2009.
