Arriving at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport Terminal 1 - Airport information - Air Travel Video
We are arriving at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport Terminal 1. We have just arrived at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) on a flight from Copenhagen, Denmark (an EU country). In this Airport video Vlog the viewers follows us (Maxi and Maro) as we disembark our aircraft and make our way through Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG).
Viewers are given a POV real time view of what it is like to arrive at this airport as we make our way to the Baggage Reclaim area. As we are arriving in France from another European country we do not have to pass through Immigration /Passport Control (If you were arriving from a non-EU country you would automatically have to pass through Immigration / Passport Control. After following the airport arrival and Baggage Reclaim signs we quickly arrive at the Baggage Belts, where the luggage rather quickly begins to be uploaded. From this point we once again begin making our way towards the Charles de Gaulle Airport Terminal 1 Arrivals Area. Before exiting we pass through the Customs control. We pass through the green lane as we have nothing to declare. We then begin making our way to the Taxi Station as we have chosen to take a taxi into central Paris. Along the way we also pass the Airport Bus turn off, and see the Money Exchange Bureau close to the Car Hire / Car Rental agencies. There is even a Marks and Spencer Food Store for those who need a few snacks. Before we make our way to our taxi we show viewers the price of a taxi from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) Terminal 1 to the Paris City center.
Wiki writes about Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (French: Aéroport de Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle, IATA: CDG, ICAO: LFPG), also known as Roissy Airport (name of the local district), is the largest international airport in France and the second largest in Europe... The film chronologically progresses from morning to the small hours of the night, showcasing daily life around Paris.
For those planning on visiting, those who’d like to visit but cannot or those who might be nostalgic and want to re-live their past visits / life there, hopefully this film shall satisfy, time and time again. A person MUST experience the city at least once in their lifetime.
The musicians playing in the metro in the film are called Les Musiciens de Lviv. The man doing tricks with the football at Montmartre is Iya Traoré, a professional football player and freestyler.
Filmed in December 2011.

Paris to Milan by TGV train from €29 - video guide
Tickets from Paris to Milan or Turin start at just €29 - for information or to buy tickets online see
A beginner's guide to travel from Paris to Turin or Milan by high-speed TGV train, showing the train interior & exterior, the scenery and the food on board. Three daily French TGVs link Paris Gare de Lyon with Turin and Milan, from €29 one-way booked direct with French Railways.
The video shows the 14:41 from Paris arriving Turin 20:13, Milan Porta Garibaldi at 21:50, with an easy connection from London St Pancras by Eurostar.
The video was taken in June, and there was still snow on the highest peaks - the weather wasn't great on this occasion, overcast with brooding clouds, the route looks far better in proper summer sun or winter snow!
Fans of BBC Top Gear may recognise a shot or two in this video - I supplied a few clips to the Beeb for their Wembley to Milan TGV-versus-Mustang 'race' first shown in February 2013.

German Army Mechanization - Dr. Louis A. Dimarco
This lecture focuses on the integration of mechanized capability into the German Army in the years between World War I and World War II. It will discuss the development of doctrine, technologies, and organizations related to mechanization. It will also highlight the role of key individuals leading the process of mechanization.
Dr. Louis A. Dimarco retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army in 2005 after more than 24 years of active service. Dr. Dimarco is the author or co-author of several Army doctrinal manuals, and of numerous scholarly articles. His most recent published work is “The Mechanized Cavalry’s Critical Contribution to Victory in Europe, 1944-45,” in the Global War Studies Journal, 2013. He is also the author of two books: War Horse: A history of the Military Horse and Rider (Westholme, 2008) and Concrete Hell: Modern Urban Operations from Stalingrad to Iraq (Osprey, 2012).

Leading US Republican Senator Robert Dole is in Britain to discuss the Bosnian conflict, after criticising British peace efforts.
He's accused the British government of obstructing stronger action against the Serbs, and has called for the UN troops to be pulled out.
He's meeting Prime Minister John Major and Foreign Minister Douglas Hurd. Earlier he met former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, who is backing his call for a tougher policy.
Incoming Senate Republican majority leader Robert Dole called on former conservative Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in advance of his meeting with senior members of the current British government.
Neither made any comment following talks lasting half-an-hour at Mrs Thatcher's office. But she's known to back Mr Dole's call for stronger action in Bosnia.
She's now calling for forceful military support for the besieged people of Bihac. She says it's up to politicians to give authority for the use of force within UN resolutions.
Mr Dole has criticised the role of the British and French in trying to negotiate a diplomatic solution. He's called for UN troops to be pulled out and the arms embargo on the Bosnian government to be lifted.
After meeting Thatcher, Mr Dole then headed for a meeting at the Foreign Office with Senator Dole. Foreign Minister Douglas Hurd and Defence Minister Malcolm Rifkind are also present as the crumbling consensus on how to deal with the Bosnian conflict is examined closely.
Mr Major and Mr Hurd are expected to spell out Britain's efforts to keep aid lines open. There are 3,500 British troops on the ground there.
Earlier this week, Mr Rifkind described Mr Dole's criticisms as impertinent in view of the fact that the US has no troops in the former Yugoslavia.

THINGS I HATE ABOUT LIVING IN PARIS | Expat Life in Paris, France
Brutal honesty alert: These are 9 things I REALLY hate about Paris as a city! I moved to Paris 5 years ago and would have loved someone to be honest with me about the downsides of Paris so that I could set realistic expectations, so I am doing the same for you just in case it helps (or you're already living here and it's nice to hear from someone who just 'gets it'). Paris is so wonderful, but also so very imperfect (aren't we all?!).

2. Shocking Customer Service 3:28

If you don't know already, I am an expat in Paris and have been living in Paris as a foreigner since 2013, when I moved here to pursue my Masters degree. I've stuck around for long enough to see the good, the bad and the ugly!
Paris can be an incredible place - the architecture, the history, culture, food, sunny evenings down by the riverside...and I have soaked it all in over the past 5 years.
But I wanted to talk frankly and openly with you guys about this city's imperfections and tell you: IT IS OKAY NOT TO LIKE PARIS! I can definitely see how it's not for everyone. Hell, many French people HATE Paris (at least that's what they've told me)! Most expats here have a love-hate relationship with the city that makes you want to update your relationship status to it's complicated.
#lifeinparis #movetoparis #whyihateparis
And in all honesty, there are many things that I dislike about Paris. I could probably do a whole other video on it! But I also believe that you can be happy anywhere as long as you choose to be (plus the pros far outweigh the cons).
I hope this video helps, especially if you are planning on doing a study Abroad in Paris or looking for things to know before moving to Paris or simply visiting Paris. Remember that these are just the worst things about Paris.. keep in mind the big picture :)

Documentary about the Expo 1967 in Montreal, Canada.
(FILM ID: 417.03)
Several shots show the city of Montreal; girls sit at a French cafe, a man buys a French newspaper; several shots of modern skyscrapers; a couple in a red sports car drive along the highway towards the Expo '67.
At Expo '67 we see numerous shots of the world fair, mostly from the monorail. Inside the British pavilion we see towering human figures, sculptures by Mario Armengol; visitors listen to a commentary on 'Britain's role in the modern world'. Another section shows a display depicting Carnaby Street. The Olympus jet engine, designed for Concord, is displayed. Huge books sit on a shelf; titles include 'The Spy Who Came In From The Cold', 'Goldfinger' and 'Love on the Dole'. Papier mache figures show the way of British life in 1967 (see CP 645 - PAPIER MACHE SCULPTURE for the making of these figures).
Other pavilions are seen; Canada has a giant inverted pyramid that people walk down into or travel down in lifts - brilliant! Pavilions for Ethiopia and Canadian pulp and paper are seen; people use a futuristic telephone box. Pavilions for Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, Ceylon, Burma and Thailand. Two Thai girls walk beside an ornamental lake where a gondola boat sits. Several shots of a display/building called Habitat; it looks like futuristic a block of flats arranged higgledy-piggledy. Various shots from the monorail, passing the Russian and West German pavilions; the monorail train enters the huge dome of America. Views inside the dome shows a space capsule and several items of space machinery and people milling about.
Various shots of the rides at the Expo fairground; a locomotive ride, the log flume. Two lumberjacks climb rapidly to the top of logs. People are seen on a Swiss revolving viewing tower; aerial views of the site; several shots of a fairground ride (an 'umbrella-seat' roundabout).
