Escape Rooms, the new type of entertainment in Egypt

Escape Rooms provide young people with new ways to spend time together. One of them is a Scream Room, which gives visitors a chance to let off some steam. CCTV's Adel EL Mahrouky checks out some of these trendy hangouts in the Egyptian capital.

10 Things NOT to Do in Egypt
Get more Tips here!
When you think of Egypt, you might picture miles of sand and rock, but Egypt is home to much more than just pyramids. However, there is also some danger lingering in the nation’s corners. If you want to avoid trouble, here are some tips to help make sure your trip is nothing but great memories.
1. Don’t Engage in PDA
This means that you should avoid any kind of kissing — even a peck on the cheek — as it may be considered rude. You should also avoid hugging, too.
2. Consider a Tour Guide
Even if you’ve got a little bit of world travel experience, it's a good idea to enlist someone who is familiar with the terrain. It doesn't cost as much as you’d think.
3. Don’t Wear Sleeveless T-Shirts
Apart from Egypt’s coastal cities, the locals are a little more amenable if you stick to moderate clothing. Men should avoid sleeveless T’s and women should consider avoiding shorts.
4. Don’t Pay Sticker Price
In Egypt, they expect you to do a little bit of haggling for pretty much anything you can buy. Whether you’re picking up a pack of smokes or you’re picking out a souvenir, the merchants will expect a little bit of sport before the final purchase.
5. Don’t Cross the Street By Yourself
The traffic in Cairo is chaotic. The cars won’t stop for you, either. Fortunately, you can either follow an Egyptian as he or she crosses the street or someone will help you. They really are nice people.
6. Don’t Hire People on the Street
In the most popular tourist areas, you might be approached by strangers offering a special tour of a specific site. Don’t take them up on it. Hiring a guide is a good idea, but go through registered sources.
7. Don’t Forget to Tip
In Egypt, you should not only leave a tip when you’re in a restaurant, but you should also leave a little bit of gratuity in clothing shops and commercial outlets!
8. Don’t Pet Stray Animals
When you’re in highly populated urban areas, you’re likely to run across the occasional stray cat or a pack of stray dogs. They might look like they’re in need of some snuggles, but they might also be violent or carrying infectious diseases.
9. Don’t Drink on the Street
You might be inclined to let loose because you’re on vacation, but don’t drink any alcohol in the street. Not only is it unacceptable from a social standpoint, in some areas you might be committing a crime.
10. Don’t Worry About Punctuality
If you make plans to meet some place with an Egyptian local, don’t be surprised if they’re late. It’s not a personal slight, just go with it.
Where do you want to know what not to do in next?

Six die as severe weather hits Egypt's 2nd city
(25 Oct 2015) Severe weather swept across the Middle East on Sunday, killing six people in Egypt, five of whom were electrocuted by a fallen power cable.
The cable from a tramway in the coastal city of Alexandria landed in streets flooded with water, electrocuting the five, a health official said.
He said a sixth person, a judge, drowned when he was trapped in his car by the floodwaters.
State news agency MENA reported heavy rains in several other Egyptian governorates, with authorities closing the port of Ain Sokhna near the southern end of the Suez Canal due to high winds and waves.
President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi ordered the government to provide aid to the hard-hit Alexandria area, while sandstorms and flash floods hit parts of the Sinai Peninsula.
Cairo was also hit by a rare rainstorm.

HOW CHEAP IS EGYPT | Nas Daily
Yesterday, we fed 600 dogs...1 ton of food..for the price of 1 date in Los Angeles....
The point is clear: Egypt is cheap!
Keep in mind: if you're a local, Egypt is probably not cheap for you, and my intention is not to make Egypt look like everyone is happy with the currency devaluation. The intention of this video is to get more people to visit Egypt now that everything is much cheaper....
Hopefully more tourists will push prices back up!
Thank you to the CART Cairo animals Rescue Team الجمعيه المصريه لإنقاذ الحيوان dog shelter for hosting us. You guys are amazing. If anyone wants to donate to help them take care of animals, you can do so at jwf717@aol.com on PayPal (they need help...and it's cheap to help!)

My Intestines Got Sucked Out In A Swimming Pool | TRULY
SUBSCRIBE to Barcroft TV:
A horrific swimming pool accident left a teenager without her intestines and unable to eat food for the last 10 years. When she was five-years-old, Salma Bashir was playing in a baby swimming pool in Alexandria, Egypt. She sat on the pool’s suction valve and the force was so strong that it ripped her small intestines from her body. Given just weeks to live Salma’s parents travelled with their young family to Pennsylvania, USA for life-saving surgery. Salma was then on a waiting list for a transplant and after a year and a half of waiting, she had the surgery that her family believed would be the start of the rest of Salma’s life. Instead the small intestines transplant rejected and after six months it had to be removed along with Salma’s large intestines and gallbladder; her stomach also had to remain open. Salma now receives all her nutrients via a TPN tube. Hopes for a future transplant are slim – the estimated cost of the five-organ transplant are $3 million but that’s not stopping Salma for giving it everything she’s got: the chatty teen has raised $15,000 already on her Gofundme page, while her makeup channel is a chance for Salma to escape her daily pain and discomfort.
