Discover all the different fruits this great farm has to offer! Wish you could have tried them out with me. The tour on the farm is very educational. I just wish that the samples at the end were covered, because it was attracting a lot of bees and I was afraid of getting stung.

Penang is a state in Malaysia and the name of its constituent island, located on the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia by the Strait of Malacca. It is bordered by Kedah in the north and east, and Perak in the south. Penang is the second smallest Malaysian state in area after Perlis, and the eighth most populous. It is composed of two parts -- Penang Island, where the seat of government is, and Seberang Perai (formerly Province Wellesley in English) on the Malay Peninsula. Highly urbanised and industrialised Penang is one of the most developed and economically important states in the country, as well as a thriving tourist destination.[4][5][6] Penang has the third-highest Human Development Index in Malaysia, after the federal territory of Kuala Lumpur and the state of Selangor. The most popular beaches in Penang are located at Tanjung Bungah, Batu Ferringhi, and Teluk Bahang, and these contiguous beaches are home to Penang's famed hotel and resort belt. More secluded Muka Head, which hosts a lighthouse and a marine research station, and Monkey Beach -- both within the Penang National Park -- offer more pristine water.
Penang is a major shopping destination in the northern region of Peninsular Malaysia. It has several modern shopping malls offering a wide range of merchandise. Among the more popular ones on Penang island are Queensbay Mall (Penang's largest), Gurney Plaza at the famed Gurney Drive, 1st Avenue Penang a brand new mall in the heart of the Penang, KOMTAR (Penang's first modern shopping mall) and Penang Times Square (an integrated commercial and residential complex near Komtar). Notable shopping malls in Seberang Perai are Sunway Carnival Mall at Seberang Jaya and AEON Seberang Prai City at Bandar Perda.
Traditional bazaars such as the Chowrasta Market and Campbell Street, and makeshift open-air night markets known as pasar malam were the precursors to today's shopping malls. They offer goods ranging from modern electronics and textiles to foodstuffs and local produce.

Back of Penang Island to Batu Ferringhi past the Tropical Fruit Farm
Sit tight and enjoy this ride from Penang's Balik Pulau (which means 'Back of the Island' in Malay) past the Tropical Fruit Farm to Batu Ferringhi.
It's an awesome mountain jungle road with some treacherous bends and drops, and in places the road is being repaired after the horrendous storms of last year. Wave to the guys repairing the road as we pass them!
So please hold on tight and enjoy the ride.

The weather in December is windy, cloudy, sunny and sometimes it rains too. .. but it is the best month for hiking with temperature around 30c.
This trail is easily accessible from Air Itam Town passing through local resident house and it's primary use for local fruits farmer with beautiful scenery city view in this hiking trail (middle to Air Itam Concrete). It's really great experience to see many kind of local fruits during passing through this fruit farm path with around 3.8 km , then walk up using Viaduct to Middle Road West to the junction of Summit Road Jalan Tuanku Yahya Petra. Hutan Kopi~Monkey Cup (500m on left side ), 1.8 km on summit road to Penang Hill top station (Bukit Bendera Square).

One of Penang’s most popular destinations (in fact, it’s the second most popular destination after Georgetown), Batu Feringghi consists of a long stretch of soft, white sandy beach along a winding road named Jalan Batu Feringghi, filled with a host of accommodation and dining options.
Its night market is quite legendary, while its waters are popular spots for a range of water sports activities such as parasailing and windsurfing.

For most visitors to Penang, the back of the island is completely unknown territory.
Because far away from the clamour of George Town or the glamour of Batu Ferringhi, you can discover an unspoilt tropical landscape on the winding road to Balik Pulau. (Which incidentally means “The Back of the Island”.)
Sit back and enjoy the ride from Tanjung Bunga, through Batu Ferringhi, past tropical fruit farms, and through the jungle all the way to Balik Pulau on this winding mountain road.

Join us and the billion mosquitos along the Tropical Spice Garden trail at Batu Ferringhi, where just across the road you can have the worst Roti Bakar and Coconut Shake for just RM 8.50.
Located just up the road from the Teluk Bahang junction, Penang’s Tropical Spice Garden is huge forest with over 500 species of plants and animals. This is South-East Asia's only tropical spice garden and I think it would be a good place to take the kids.
The jungle has three trails that features special plants and unique jungle flora.
The day will be what you make of it! but for me personally the guided tour (a.k.a. 1980s mobile you have to carry around) bored me half to death.

In the video we started the day with Yum Cha Dim Sum at Zhim Sum on Jalan Macalister followed by a visit to the Tropical Spice Garden, Penang Fruit Farm. A random roadside stop at a durian plantation and a visit to one of Penang largest Shopping Mall, Queensbay Mall followed by a short visit to the Floating Mosque in Tanjung Bungah and dinner at Paper Lobster at Maritime Square on Karpal Singh Road.
