The beautiful Truso Valley, source of the Tergi River, heads west off the Georgian Military Hwy 17km south of Kazbegi. There are interesting travertine formations, local mineral springs, geyser, ancient towers and several abandoned Ossetian villages.

A short video story of our day trip from Tbilisi to Kazbegi, a sleepy village at the border between Georgia and the Russian Federation. Kazbegi (official name: Stepantsminda) lies in a valley at the bottom of mount Kazbek, a majestic 5.047m former volcano and third highest peak in the Caucasus range. Kazbegi became famous thanks to its small church, built during XIV century on a hill 2.170m high, halfway between the village and the Kazbek peak.

Una breve video storia della nostra giornata a Kazbegi partendo da Tbilisi. Kazbegi è un piccolo villaggio sul confine tra la Georgia e la Federazione russa. È diventato famoso grazie ai panorami spettacolari che regala la piccola chiesetta del XIV secolo che sorge su un colle alto 2.170m a metà strada tra la valle e il monte Kazbek, un vulcano spento di 5.047m, terza cima più alta del Caucaso.
