津山市の「津山観光センター」に参りました。駐車場は満車で順番待ち、↓
レンタル自転車もフル稼働、そして私は・・久しぶりに甲冑姿に
なったせいか・・・多くのお客様に弄ばれたせいか・・・
座りっぱなしでお昼頃にはお尻が痛くてスタミナも切れて・・・
ヘロヘロになってしまい、申し訳ありませんでした。
津山観光センターの看板猫のお猫様は、おっとりしていて、
とても人懐っこいので、これからも優しく可愛がってあげて下さい。
また、江戸期の装束で津山市を歩くイベントについて、

The official name of the temple is “Saijo Inari-san Myokyo-ji.” Because torii are symbols of shrines, the torii at Saijo Inari makes this temple a rare example of the religions of ancient Japan. Every year about 3 million people visit this temple, where “Saijoi Kyo-o Daibosatsu,” believed responsible for prosperity in business and good harvests, is worshipped.

Okayama Station (岡山駅 Okayama-eki) is a railway station in Kita-ku, Okayama, Okayama Prefecture, Japan. The station is operated by West Japan Railway Company (JR West).
Okayama Station is one of major intersections of railways in the Chūgoku region. All trains connecting Honshū and Shikoku via the Great Seto Bridge originate and terminate here.
The station is served by the following JR West lines:
Sanyō Shinkansen
Sanyō Main Line (including trains to Akō Line and Hakubi Line)
Uno Line (Seto-Ōhashi Line)
Tsuyama Line
Kibi Line
In addition to the JR lines, in front of the station is a tram stop of the Okayama Electric Tramway named Okayama-Ekimae Station.
The station opened on March 18, 1891. Between 1972 and 1975, the station was the western terminus of the Sanyō Shinkansen.

2015年08月15日(土) 津山市に参りました。
今朝も暑くて、少し動いただけで汗が流れ落ちます。↓
先週の脱水症状の体験が脳裏に過ぎり、安全策として・・
早々に・・・ ホテルのロビーで朝涼みしながら、ひと休み・・。
津山城を参って、津山観光センターでレンタル自転車をお借りして
衆楽園に参りました。初めて、電動自転車に乗りましたが・・感動！
上り坂で息切れする事も、足がパンパンになる事もなく快走！
その後、津山観光センターに帰ってから真骨頂の真髄パターン・・・
甲冑者の蝋人形と化して待ち伏せてみました。
暑かった日中も冷たい冷水を頂いたおかげで乗り切れました。
津山城・津山観光センター様、お食事処「よし乃」様、衆楽園様、
津山国際ホテル様を始め、お会いした皆様方・・・
ありがとうございました。またお会いできる事を願っています。

Japan Travel: Koikui Shrine Battle and Folklore Kibi Kingdom Soja Station Okayama13
Koikui Shrine (literally carp eating shrine) is a small shrine located in the Kibi Plain in Okayama Prefecture. This area was the center of the Kibi Kingdom, an ancient, powerful clan. There is a legend of Prince Kibitsuhiko from the rivaling Yamato Clan who came to the kingdom to defeat a troubling ogre.
The best way to explore this area is via bicyle. There is a 17 kilometer long cycling route through the Kibi Plain between Bizen-Ichinomiya and Soja Stations. This route passes several important shrines, temples and burial mounds along the way. Though visitors can start the route from either side, the route is slightly easier to locate if begun from Bizen-Ichinomiya Station.
Koikui Shrine is famous for the location where Prince Kibitsuhiko first subdued the ogre. After the ogre transformed and fled as a bird, the prince changed into a hawk to hunt him down. As a result, the ogre made the deadly mistake of changing into a carp, whereas the prince turned into a cormorant.

津山駅は、岡山県第３の都市津山市にあるJR姫新線の駅です。津山線・因美線直通列車も乗り入れる岡山県北のターミナル駅で、一日平均乗車人員は2122人（2010年）です。そんな津山駅で、駅周辺や構内、列車の発着風景を撮影してみました。
Tsuyama station, located at Tsuyama City (the 3rd largest city in Okayama Prefecture, Japan), is a station of JR Kishin line. Tsuyama station has a daily ridership of 2,122 passengers in 2010. As an key junction of nothern Okayama, direct trains to Tsuyama and Imbi line also come here. I took this movie of station, vicinity, and trains at Tsuyama station.

My Homestay in Japan :D
PLEASE READ THIS FOR FAQ's:
This is a tour of my host family/homestay house in Tsuyama, Okayama Japan. :D My host family was very nice! I'm so glad I could stay there for as long as I did (about 6 days), but I wish I could have stayed longer.
FAQ:
Q: What organization did I home stay through?
A: Santa Fe Sister Cities. Please note: THIS IS NOT A STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM. (your city may also have a Sister Cities program, you can look into it to see if they have information on trips as well.)
Q: Did you go to school while you were there?
A: I visited schools, but because it was not an academic trip, I did not study there. I did not go through a study abroad program, it was a high school trip that was made possible by the Sister Cities program.
Q: Why didn't you stay for more than 6 days?
A: I only home stayed for a part of my trip. Due to the fact that this is a high school trip that wanted to include more parts of Japan than just our sister city, we went to many other places including Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara, and Tottori, making the trip longer than 6 days but the home stay at our sister city only 6 days. Please watch my other videos for more information ^^
Q: Why don't you smile?
A: This has been asked over 10 times now, so I will attempt to explain XD. Had no idea that my expression would be so notable to you guys. Like I said previously, I only stayed at their house for a short time, and so I didn't really get use to them. Staying at another person's house makes me nervous, I often walk on eggshells when I don't need to due to past experiences. It is also partially due to my personality, and I have social anxiety, so getting use to people is hard. Along with this, I often forget to smile in pictures. Thanks for the concern, but I am fine, or at least working through it lol.

Handayama - Cherry Blossom Secret ✿ Okayama City - 岡山市半田山植物園 - Japan As It Truly Is
Like cherry blossoms? Tired of the tourist hordes reading the same guides and rushing to the same places? GO HERE!
The Handayama Botanical Garden in Okayama City is a marvelous place to see the sakura without the crowds. It was opened in May, 1964 and covers 11 hectares with over 150,000 trees and 3200 varieties of plants.
The park is open 9 AM - 4:30 PM (last entry 4 PM). Closed Tuesdays or if a holiday, the following Wednesday. Also closed Dec 29-Jan 3. Entrance fee is ¥308.
