Sneaky Ways Movie Theaters Get You To Spend More Money
Between ticket prices and concessions, movie theaters are expensive. But movie theater chains like AMC and Regal only keep around 50% of the revenue from ticket sales each year. But theaters are able to keep over 80% of concessions revenue as profit. So most theaters are designed to get you to spend money on food. And it works, AMC reports that more than 71% of attendees spend money on concessions.

KONE Montgomery Elevator @ the Mosaic District Parking Garage in Fairfax, Virginia
Since I was able to stay in Virginia for a day at the Hyatt Hotel across the street of this parking lot with my family, I decided to film this elevator since it reminded me of the KONE elevator back in Eatontown, NJ inside JCPenney. The signs were also pretty bright inside the elevator with the bright daylight LED lights. The view from the 7th floor was also pretty great and it was completely empty compared to the other floors. Each number on each floor are different colors and on the 7th floor, the number is black and the 1st floor is white, which is what I find really cool about the Mosaic District Parking Garage. Every time the elevator reaches the floor that the button is pushed for, it says the floor number. For example, it says 7th floor. I like this version of the KONE elevator compared to the other ones I've been on. There are two doors and I'm on Car #4, but the door on the same side as the buttons are for the other floors, except for the 1st floor. If you guys have any questions about the video, go ahead and ask away and also, please let me know if I missed anything in the description box. Enjoy! :D

Abandoned John Marshall Highschool Oklahoma City
The original location of John Marshall High School opened in 1950 at 9017 N University Ave John Marshall High School has gone through several phases in its history. Originally opening in far North Oklahoma City 1950, it served as a high school for The Village, Britton, Quail Creek, The Greens, Val Verde and Nichols Hills. The boundaries changed several times over the years. In 2005 the students were split between the original campus and the new campus. For one semester the Oklahoma Public Schools changed the name of the original location to Centennial High School in an attempt to use the original location as an alternative to the closed Gateway Academy. This did not work out and the remaining students were transferred to the new location. The original location was finally fully closed in 2006

10 Facts Movie Theaters Don't Want You to Know
We all love movie theaters for the special feeling they give with fantastic special effects, complete sound immersion and the taste of popcorn. Would you still love them just as much if you found out their secrets movie theater owners don’t want you to know? We’re going to unveil 10 movie theater secrets.
In cinemas, many people can’t always keep their feelings to themselves and that’s normal. For example, a movie about cannibals called Raw appeared to be too hard to watch for a couple of visitors at The Toronto International Film Festival in 2016. The people fainted and one of them hit his head badly during the fall.
Digital devices can do everything on their own, and there are more automatic processes at a cinema than there were during the previous century.
Keep it in mind that in case there are some problems with a projector (the image is blurred, not centered, etc.), you’ll have to stand up and go notify a staff member in the lobby.
20% of the population, including Johnny Depp himself, simply can’t perceive those three dimensions. Harvard Medical School neurobiology professor Dr. Margaret S. Livingstone explains it could be due to stereo-blindness when eyes can’t see in 3D because of the way they are aligned.
If you love cleanliness that much, try to visit the cinema in the morning and avoid going there on Friday and Saturday nights when a lot of other people go out to the movies.

SUMMARY
-Theaters have to pay a lot to film studios in the first two months of distribution so they have to make their money out of concession.
-The cinema staff members who manage to prevent movie theft get a $500 prize.
-The younger generations buy a ticket when two movies start simultaneously, and one of them is not R-rated.
-A movie about cannibals called Raw appeared to be too hard to watch for a couple of visitors at The Toronto International Film Festival in 2016. The people fainted and one of them hit his head badly during the fall.
-One couple stuffed a truckload of food into an infant’s car seat and went to watch a movie. A girl from put some pasta into zip-lock bags and brought them into the cinema with her.
-3D glasses give you an illusion of being inside a movie and it drives your visual analyzer crazy.
-Even though a movie projector has to be programmed during the day, there’s nobody sitting in the booth when you watch a movie.
-A short break between two movies is not enough time for a cinema staff to thoroughly clean up a theater.
-Someone who loves to fight will always find a reason to do so. It could be that someone took someone else’s parking place, they talked on the phone during the movie, or someone is chomping too loudly.
-Thanks to security cameras, movie theater staff can spot and kick out couples that go too far on their “loveseats”.

Police in Anne Arundel County, Maryland have arrested Hong Young, 35, in connection to five separate shootings spanning eight days in Maryland.
Investigators believe Young, a former Maryland corrections officer who resigned in May, is the sole shooter in the case.
On the morning of February 24, a 61-year-old man driving an SUV pulled out of a gas station near the Anne Arundel Shopping Center. The driver of a blue-gray 1999 Lincoln town car fired gunshots at the SUV, shattering its windows.
The victim drove to a nearby home, where he asked someone to call police because he did not speak English. Police did not find a connection between the suspect and victim.
Anne Arundel County Police released surveillance footage of the suspect’s car four days later.
On March 2, police received reports of two shootings, both before 6 a.m. The first was reported at the Walmart Supercenter in Laurel.
The second occurred at the AMC Theater at The Mall in Columbia. A cleaning crew at the theater reported hearing multiple gunshots around 5:10 a.m.
The fourth shooting occurred March 3 around 3 p.m. along the Intercounty Connector between Interstate 25 and Route 29. The bullets appeared to come from a nearby wooded area and struck a dump truck’s windshield. The two drivers suffered minor injuries from shattered glass and bullet fragments.
Around 5 p.m., police received reports of gunshots fired at a campus building of the National Surveillance Agency in Fort Meade.
Two Anne Arundel County police cruisers conducted a traffic stop around 6:30pm Tuesday after spotting a vehicle matching the Lincoln’s description.
The police reportedly found a .380 caliber pistol and bullet casings. Initial ballistics tests linked the weapon to four of the shootings, according to Prince George’s County Police.
Young is married but filed for divorce on September 24, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Police in Anne Arundel County, Maryland arrested 35-year-old Hong Young Tuesday night.
Young is a suspect in 5 separate shootings that took place in Maryland -- between Baltimore and Washington D.C. -- over the span of 8 days.
On the morning of February 24th, a man was leaving a gas station near the Anne Arundel Shopping Center, when his windows were shot out.
Four days later, police released a surveillance video of the suspect’s vehicle: A 1999 Lincoln town car.
Then in the early hours of March 2nd, shots were reported at the Walmart Supercenter in Laurel, Maryland.
Shortly after, at 5:10 a.m., a cleaning crew at the Columbia Mall’s AMC theater reported hearing multiple gunshots.
The following afternoon, a truck driving along the Intercounty Connector was struck by bullets that came from a nearby wooded area.
The two drivers in that 4th shooting suffered minor injuries from shattered glass and fragments from the bullets.
Around 5 p.m. that same day, bullets struck a campus building at the National Security Agency in Fort Meade.
The shooter then reportedly returned to the site of the first shooting.
Around 6 p.m., two cop cars spotted the Lincoln driving near the same shopping center and conducted a traffic stop.
A .380-caliber pistol was found inside Young’s car … and initial ballistics tests connected the weapon to four of the shootings.

Shabby United States traction elevators - Fenwick library side B GMU - Fairfax VA
September 18, 2018. Built 1974, this is the oldest pair of elevators in the original tower. Behind is the 1983 second tower's pair US elevator lifts with circle buttons. The 1974 panel with, most likely, the square buttons was replaced with slap on Adams in the 1990s. The rest of the lifts' features are more or less unchanged. The left cab's panel has a quirky word choice for the 1 button - START. It's noticeably slightly slower than the 1983s.
