Museum, Bazaar, Theater and Top Floor Bar in Tashkent - Uzbekistan 4K Travel Channel
After a short drive, we arrive at the Museum of applied arts in the Rakatboshi street. It is a beautiful old grand building with an inner courtyard. The impressive building belonged to the Russian diplomat Aleksandr Polovcev once. Precious mosaics adorn at the outer walls here.
Inside, you can discover the entire range of Uzbek craftsmanship. Clothes, headgear, carpets, porcelain, paintings, decorative objects, metal cans and carving in the form of furniture and doors show skills that are hard to find in the USA or Europe.
The women wear the jewelry during their lifetime because they could be rejected at any time and then would have had no more time to take this along.
Of course, Tashkent also has some bazaars, of which the Chorsu Bazaar is the biggest. Its huge dome is already visible from afar.
Inside, you find mainly perishable meat and cheese products. Presumably, the hall is cooled by air conditioning.
Besides that, there is an open fruit and vegetable hall.
The dealers offer candy, eggs, jam, honey and household goods in further smaller halls.
Also, fresh bread may not be missing. Since the next day is a holiday, the bakers have their hands full with work.
The market is well-sorted, structured and clearly arranged.
On the way to the Uzbekistan hotel, our driver drives a lap around the Navoi Theater. It was built in 1942 - 1947. As of 1945 substantially Japanese prisoners of war were involved in forced labor. In 1966 it received the status of Bolshoi Theater.
The theater is named after Alisher Navoiy, an Uzbek poet, and politician who lived in the court of the Timurids in the 15th century. He is celebrated as the greatest Turk-language poet of all time and significantly influenced the Chagatai language, a Turkic language.

Uzbekistan Day 10 Tashkent final sights
This morning we visit the State Museum of Applied Arts where the detail and quality of exhibits is amazing. We followed this by ride on the Metro where we saw beautiful murals of space and Cosmonauts along with fine architecture you wouldn't believe for underground stations. After leaving the Metro, we had a meander around the outdoor and indoor markets at Chorsu Bazaar. Again fascinating to see the scale of produce on display. This was followed by a drive past various sights before stopping to see The Russian Orthodox Centre with its ornate golden domes and pastel coloured buildings. We finish the day with free time. We returned to Amir Timur Square to see it in daylight with the Uzbekistan Hotel dominating the background. A fine end to a fascinating holiday. Note that many things we saw had several different spellings, presumably from the translation from Cyrillic to English.

I crossed the Pacific Ocean on sailing boats as crew and visited The Unites States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, The Marquesas Islands, Tahiti, The Kingdom Of Niue, Rarotonga, Tonga, Fiji, some other small islands and ended up in New Zealand. In New Zealand I cycled 3.000km from the northernmost point to the southernmost point. After that I rode a motorbike from Vietnam to Laos and Cambodia. Recently I converted a Rusian 4x4 UAZ Buhanka oldtimer into a campervan and am driving around Central Asia with my puppy dog.

Беньков, A. Волков, М.

David Braid, a famous jazz pianist from Canada. According to critics, in his work, David Braid masterly combines the basic principles of European classical music and the spontaneity of American jazz. Last year, the musician was already in Uzbekistan and made a promise that he would return here again. This time he will perform with his colleagues: Johnny Aman - bass (Finland) and Anders Mogensen - drums (Denmark). Foreign musicians, together with the “Jazzirama” quartet, will perform works that combine the musical heritage of Uzbekistan with modern jazz music.
