The Val Ferret is one of the most spectacular valleys in Courmayeur and the Valle D'Aosta. More than 20 km long, its position at the foot of Mont Blanc makes the Val Ferret ideal for walking and a variety of sporting activities.
The valley is renowned for its outstanding views, the majesty of Mont Blanc, the Dent du Géant, Grandes Jorasses, Aiguille de Triolet and Mont Dolent. With over 20 km of nature, in summer you can play golf or go take one of the numerous nature trails and footpaths up to the refuges.
If you like mountain biking, the Val Ferret is perfect, or you can try fishing or even just relax in the sun. In winter there is a spectacular cross-country skiing circuit, or you can have fun trying a snowbike or a fat-bike – you’ll be spoilt for choice.

Gran bella traversata ad anello, a detta di molti, il miglior tratto del giro del Monte Bianco, il percorso lo si puoi iniziare, dove si vuole.
Il classico sarebbe val Ferret -- Col Ferret - rif. Elena --rif. Bonatti -- rif. Bertone -- Courmayeur --val Ferret; in questo caso il dislivello e tempi sarebbero superiori al mio giro, tuttavia ho voluto percorrere quest'ultimo pezzo che mi mancava.
Dopo aver preso quota, si percorre da rifugio a rifugio su un bellissimo sentiero con fondo in terra battuta, un vero divertimento con la MTB con altrettanti scorci idilliaci sul gruppo del Monte Bianco, dal rifugio Bertoni la discesa su Courmayeur si fa molto tecnica sia per la ripidezza, e per un fondo roccioso e pietroso.
Il dislivello del giro si aggira sui 1200 m
Quattro ore totali con pochissime soste dovuti ai caffè nei rifugi.
Gita Super consigliata, da fare con tempo bello per gustare il mega panorama.
