TOGLIATTY//// TOLYATTY///// EF TELL THE WORLD////
Text:
Hello! My name is Diana, I am an ordinary girl who lives in an ordinary town- Togliatti
I can tell you about the factory, the monument, or about this monument, but you can read about it on the Internet.
I will tell you about the places in which I grew up:
The first and most significant for me is the Victory Park, here is Stella reminding of the years of the Great Patriotic War, and my favorite here is tanks. I was on them that I learned what a peak was, climbing through them I recognized the device of a tank. In this park, I learned to ride roller skates, saw off sunsets, hid from people along with a book between the trees. If you want to relax, come here.
Hungry? Come have a bite to this wonderful place. It is located near the shopping center, in a dark alley, haha okay. There are many beautiful and cozy cafes, for example, Varenechnaya, here you can try chocolate vareniky. Every cafe here seems to have been torn out from different universes like Twin Peaks or Riverdale and set here. Walking here you can briefly plunge into the mysterious atmosphere.
Tolyatti is not Moscow, not St. Petersburg, not the capital at all, it was built much later. Tolyatti is a city of atmosphere, calm
Do you think Togliatti is a machine factory and cafes? Not. If you want to merge into one with nature, I recommend to go to the Volga.
Not here. Now I will show you the portal to the country of Oz, except that we don’t need a balloon) the amazing bay is 6 square meters. Reflections, a book, this is a great place, and you can shoot the 4th season of Riverdale.
I love Togliatti for its versatility. I believe that I live in a lovely place, because next to me are cultural monuments, a river, and the forest. Yes, you can say that there is nothing special in the forest, but I am afraid to argue with you. The forest near our city is special. There are many different trees here. Sometimes you can meet a woodpecker, a squirrel and others. Remember the ding ding of their cartoon fairies? And if you want to show where their helpers really are, welcome to the animal shelter. I come here as often as I can, and I feel myself like a fauna. True, I do not know how to conjure, but I can donate some money for animals.
I love Togliatti, or as we call it Totti) as you understood it is a wonderland, where people create magic not by the government.

[Wikipedia] Funland Park
Funland Park (Russian: фанны парк or Funland Amusement Park (Russian: фанны парк развлечений) is a family park in the Russian city of Tolyatti. Slightly under 8 hectares (20 acres) in area, it is located in the Auto Factory District, less than a kilometer northwest of Victory Park. It contains many amusement rides and similar attractions, but also quiet areas of trees, grass, and ponds.
Among the attractions are a steel rollercoaster, the Cyclone; go karts and bumper cars; a large Ferris wheel; a large outdoor swimming pool (in winter there is ice skating); arcades and cafes; a petting zoo; a butterfly glade; and other rides and attractions.
Various special events and celebrations are held at the park on public holidays and at other times. The Oodles of Animals event (Russian: Жизнь замечательных зверей), besides providing entertainment, results in many animals from the city's animal shelters being adopted. In winter, an entire small town made of ice, the Magical Fairyland of Ice, is constructed.
The park was built by AvtoVAZ as a recreation place for young families, most of them workers at the AvtoVAZ automobile plant. The park opened in 1980, had 11 rides by 1987, and was named Funland in 2005.

STORYLINE:
Crowds of far-left supporters in France stormed the square where the French Revolution began in Paris to celebrate their country's rejection of the
proposed European Union constitution.
We won! chanted a jubilant crowd of over 1,000 people gathered at Place de la Bastille, as cars blared their horns and bands playing percussion and punk music broke into song.
The constitution was conceived to strengthen and streamline the EU and intended as the next big step in bringing together nations divided for centuries by war.
But many French opponents feared the charter would chip away at national identity and bring an influx of cheap labour.
Most of those opposed to it believed the treaty put too much stress on the economy and markets, compromising the future of welfare programmes.
At the Bastille, most demonstrators were young. They described themselves as pro-Europe but said the constitution didn't embody the Europe they hoped to build.
Supporters waved the Communist Party's red flag and sang the party's theme song as they waited for leftist leaders to take the stage for victory speeches.
Down to the last minute, the French debate over Europe's landmark constitution stirred extraordinary passion, even by Gallic standards.
With passions running high, authorities braced for street rallies in other parts of Paris after the evening results came in. Police shut down exits from three Metro stations with access to the famed Champs-Elysees. The area was calm into the early hours of Monday.
Later in the evening, leaders of left-leaning parties who had campaigned for a 'no' vote planned to speak to supporters at Place de la Bastille, the site where angry crowds stormed the Bastille prison and sparked the French Revolution in 1789.

STORYLINE:
Hard hit by Russia's economic crisis, the industrial city of Togliatti, named after an Italian communist stalwart, is full of anger at the country's leadership and likely to vote for the Communist Party in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
The southern Russian city of 700,000 was long a stronghold of solid industrial jobs, focused on producing the plain-looking but reliable Lada car.
But Russia's economic upheavals have turned the city sour.

Russian Tango-class submarines (Project 641B Som [Catfish]) were the successors to the Foxtrot-class submarine based in the Black Sea and Northern Fleet areas. The first of the class was completed in 1972 at Gorky. A total of 18 were built in two slightly different versions. The later type was several metres longer than the first possibly because of installation of ASW missile equipment.
The bow sonar installations appear to be similar to those fitted into Soviet nuclear attack submarines. The propulsion plant was the same as the last subgroup of the Foxtrot-class submarine. The Tango class had far more battery capacity, far higher than previous conventional submarine class in the Soviet Navy. As a result, pressure hull volume increased. This allowed an underwater endurance in excess of a week before snorkeling was required.
Coupled with new armament and sensor fit, the Tango class were ideal for ambush operations against Western nuclear submarines at natural chokepoints.
Because of its all-hull rubber coating, the sub class was nicknamed rezinka [rubber][citation needed]
Construction of this class has now stopped. One unit remains in the Black Sea Fleet but it may have been decommissioned since 2010

Dormitory #2 - Mamayev Kurgan - Park
Mamayev Kurgan (Russian: Мамаев курган) is a dominant height overlooking the city of Volgograd (formerly Stalingrad) in Southern Russia. The name in Russian means tumulus of Mamai. The formation is dominated by a memorial complex commemorating the Battle of Stalingrad (August 1942 to February 1943). The battle, a hard-fought Soviet victory over Axis forces on the Eastern Front of World War II, turned into one of the bloodiest battles in human history. At the time of its installation in 1967 the statue named The Motherland Calls on Mamayev Kurgan formed the largest free-standing sculpture in the world;as of 2016 it is the tallest sculpture of a woman in the world.
When forces of the German Sixth Army launched their attack against the city centre of Stalingrad on 13 September 1942, Mamayev Kurgan (appearing in military maps as Height 102.0) saw particularly fierce fighting between the German attackers and the defending soldiers of the Soviet 62nd Army. Control of the hill became vitally important, as it offered control over the city. To defend it, the Soviets had built strong defensive lines on the slopes of the hill, composed of trenches, barbed-wire and minefields. The Germans pushed forward against the hill, taking heavy casualties. When they finally captured the hill, they started firing on the city centre, as well as on the city's main railway station under the hill. They captured the Volgograd railway station on 14 September 1942.
On the same day, the Soviet 13th Guards Rifle Division commanded by Alexander Rodimtsev arrived in the city from the east side of the river Volga under heavy German artillery fire. The division's 10,000 men immediately rushed into the battle. On 16 September they recaptured Mamayev Kurgan[4] and kept fighting for the railway station, taking heavy losses. By the following day, almost all of them had died. The Soviets kept reinforcing their units in the city as fast as they could. The Germans assaulted up to twelve times a day, and the Soviets would respond with fierce counter-attacks.
The hill changed hands several times. By 27 September, the Germans again captured half of Mamayev Kurgan.[5] The Soviets held their own positions on the slopes of the hill, as the 284th Rifle Division defended the key stronghold. The defenders held out until 26 January 1943, when the counterattacking Soviet forces relieved them. The battle of the city ended one week later with an utter German defeat.
When the battle ended, the soil on the hill had been so thoroughly churned by shellfire and mixed with metal fragments that it contained between 500 and 1,250 splinters of metal per square meter. The earth on the hill had remained black in the winter, as the snow kept melting in the many fires and explosions. In the following spring the hill would still remain black, as no grass grew on its scorched soil. The hill's formerly steep slopes had become flattened in months of intense shelling and bombardment. Even today, it is possible to find fragments of bone and metal still buried deep throughout the hill.
After the war, the Soviet authorities commissioned the enormous Mamayev Kurgan memorial complex. Vasily Chuikov, who led Soviet forces at Stalingrad, lies buried at Mamayev Kurgan, the first Marshal of the Soviet Union to be buried outside Moscow. Soviet sniper Vasily Zaytsev was also reburied there in 2006.
The monumental memorial was constructed between 1959 and 1967, and is crowned by a huge allegorical statue of the Motherland on the top of the hill. The monument, designed by Yevgeny Vuchetich, has the full name The Motherland Calls! (Russian: Родина-мать зовёт! Rodina Mat Zovyot!). It consists of a concrete sculpture, 52 metres tall, and 85 metres from the feet to the tip of the 27-metre sword, dominating the skyline of the city of Stalingrad (later renamed Volgograd).
The construction uses concrete, except for the stainless-steel blade of the sword, and is held on its plinth solely by its own weight. The statue is evocative of classical Greek representations of Nike, in particular the flowing drapery, similar to that of the Nike of Samothrace.
