PH-LVA Fokker D.VII replica

Op 21 april 2018 deed de PH-LVA Fokker D.VII een motortest. De originele Mercedes D IIIau uit 1918 deed het weer prima!
Deze replica is eigendom van Early Birds op Lelystad Airport

Fokker D-VII Stichting Vroege Vogels

Deze D-VII is een reconstructie (replica) waarin vele originele onderdelen zijn verwerkt. Zo is de motor een originele Mercedes D-IIIa hochkomprimiert uit 1918, d.w.z. in staat om 185 pk te leveren. De historie van de motor is grotendeels achterhaald door Hans Willem van Overbeek, auteur van artikelen in het tijdschrift Verenigde Vleugels; naar aanleiding van het serienummer is bekend dat hij is gemonteerd geweest in een door de Ostdeutsche Albatros Werke (OAW) gebouwde D-VII, met serienummer 8493/18

Visarend jong Biesbosch Vliegoefeningen

Op 3 augustus 2016 deze opnamen gemaakt van het eerste visarend jong van Nederland in De Biesbosch, wat bezig is met vliegoefeningen op en boven het nest. Ook zie je dat deze met ballast prooi nabootst om zo te oefenen. Nu begrijp ik beter, waarom er vorige week nestmateriaal (ballast) werd gebracht door het mannetje. Dit zag ik in ander filmpje door M naar het nest gebracht worden.
