CCTV footage which shows bright 'UFO' in Australian sky goes viral
CCTV footage of what appears to be a floating UFO was spotted by police officers in the resort town of Broome, Western Australia, over the weekend. The video the CCTV footage was filmed during a powerful thunderstorm that hit the city.
While some Twitter users were convinced that this was proof of alien life, others suggested it was just a lens flare from the headlights of the car seen in the bottom right corner of the screen. Report by Louee Dessent-Jackson.

Australian Summer (Feb) Canberra to ST George QLD #69
This drive was done in a 2001 2.5 litre V6 Ford Cougar, Fuel consumption was about 9L per 100km. MPG (31.39 UK - 26.13 US)
This was the largest cost per day as I averaged 900km per day (559.234 miles)
Accommodation was:
Night 1 Australia Hotel St George Queensland $50 AUD ($35.58 USD) nice room, no TV, or Fridge, shared facilities I would recommend it as a comfortable and not intimidating hotel.
Night 2 1 Grand Hotel Cobar New South Wales $30 AUD ($21.35 USD) room pretty rough looking but had TV, Fridge, Kettle and Microware, shared facilities I wouldn’t recommend it really unless you are sure of yourself.
Meals (Remember in Australia we don’t normally tip)
Big Breakfast normally 2 Eggs, Toast, Sausages, Tomato, Mushrooms, Hash browns and Coffee – Normally less than $20 AUD ($14.23 USD)
Lunch on all three days lunch at pubs was $10 AUD ($7.12 USD) all came with a soft drink.
Dinner on night 1 was a 400g steak (1LB) = $30 AUD ($21.35 USD)
Dinner on night 2 was $20 AUD ($14.23 USD)

The LARGEST RODEO in the southern hemisphere - Mt Isa - Ep.17 - Outback Road Trip
Our first Rodeo and its the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere. We had a blast with our front row tickets, we got some amazing pictures and footage. One of our highlights was Busby Marou playing some unreal live music.
After the rodeo we set off to Camooweal were we had heard they have big red claw, and Kurt was keen to try and catch some! We met up with some of our neighbors from Corella Dam there and had a great 3 nights. We also visited one of the nearby caves in Camooweal which was pretty cool. Only a short walk from the carpark too!

RDA Northern Inland Skilled Migration Case Study: Mulligans Farm Retreat
Jonathon and Kathryn Mulligan own and run the property Retreat, which is part of the Mulligan Farms agricultural businesses. Retreat is a large crop growing business. It is a big irrigation property that is remote and isolated from skilled labour markets, being over 80km south-west of Moree (in north-west NSW).
From their fleet of John Deere machines to the irrigation channel gate pump, the Mulligans have a genuine need for a diesel mechanic.
Enter hard working Daniel Sloan from northern Ireland. He started working at Retreat on a working holiday visa. It was an employer/employee perfect match and both parties were keen to make the arrangement permanent. The Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme provided a win-win.
Dan left behind an Irish economy that was depressed and offered few promising employment prospects. In North-West NSW he found employment, a lifestyle and a fiancee he loves.
Dan is justifiably proud of the contribution he has made to an agricultural business and the local area, as a skilled migrant.

Massive fish kill in lower Darling River
There been a massive fish kill on the lower Darling River downstream of the Minindee Lakes. In fact there has been 2 large fish kills down there.
The Darling River is a very long and iconic river in outback NSW, Australia. The river is the life blood of the region which is very dry and arid and maintaining water throughout the entire Darling River is critical.
Fish Kills have been occurring for thousands of years, but I can't help but think that this particular fish kill could have been avoided had more water been set aside for environments flows.
What is happening in the lower Darling River right now is environmental vandalism.
A day in the vast Pilliga Forest
???????? WHAT: A day in the Pilliga Forest. ???? WHERE: Just east of the town of Baradine in Western NSW. ❄ WHEN: We travelled in winter. Expect very cold mornings. Have a jacket handy. ❓❓ WHY: To see the largest remaining wild forest in NSW and see the beautiful Sculptures in the Scrub. ???? HOW: I travelled in the ever reliable little Suzuki Jimny (Suzuki Australia ) which more than managed the rough roads and sandy creek crossings. ⏰ TIME: You will need to allow a full day by the time you get there and meander about. ???? DISTANCE: I did at least 100km inside the Pilliga Forest plus to and from the forest to Coonabarabran. ???????????????? FOOD: You must take your own food and plenty of water. ???? TOILETS: There are toilets at Salt Caves and Sculptures in the Scrub. ⚠️ SAFETY: ????️ Let someone know where you are going. ☝️ Check in at the Pilliga Discovery Centre to check road conditions and get directions and a map. Stick to the main roads. ???? Mobile coverage is patchy. READ MORE:

Freedom from what?
Or Freedom from whom...?
I guess.
Ask old Lyall.
Freedom to move.
Freedom to live.
Freedom to escape.
Freedom from you?
Freedom to marry.
Freedom to love.
Freedom to choose.
Freedom to privacy from invasion.
That's what he and they
were fighting for.
For your liberty and for mine.
For us and them.

VERY SHORT LIST OF
MASS-MURDER EVENTS of
BLACK AUSSIES by WHITE AUSSIES
1791
Governor Arthur Phillip ordered 50 killed - woods to be cleared so that the natives could find no shelter.
1794
At Toongabbie an armed party of settlers pursued a group of Aboriginals who were taking corn from the settlers' farms.
They killed four, bringing back the severed head of one as proof of their exploits.
1794
British settlers in the Hawkesbury River area killed seven Bediagal people in reprisal for the theft of clothing and provisions.
Some of the surviving children of this raid were taken by the settlers and detained as farm labourers.
One boy, who was considered a spy, was later dragged through a fire, thrown into the river and shot dead.
1795
Conflict continued following the alleged unlawful killing of two settlers in the Hawkesbury river region.
Lieutenant Gov. W. Paterson orderd two officers and 66 soldiers:
To destroy as many
as they could meet with ...
In the hope of striking terror:
To erect gibbets in different places:
whereon the bodies of all
they might kill - were to be hung ...
A minimum of 7 or 8 Bidjigal people were murdered.
A crippled man, some children and five women (one being heavily pregnant) were taken to Sydney as prisoners.
One of the women and her baby had serious gunshot wounds. The child died not long after as did the newborn baby of the pregnant woman.
1795
In the lower parts
of the river named Hawkesbury,
British settlers conducted
an armed expedition against
local Aboriginals : killing five souls
and taking a number prisoner,
again including a badly wounded child.
1797
After Aboriginals killed two Brutish settlers, a large punitive expedition was organised which surprised and dispersed a native camp of about 100 people. The armed group then returned to Parramatta to rest.
Pemulwuy, a noted Aboriginal resistance leader of the early frontier, followed them into the town demanding vengeance for the dispersal.
A skirmish (known as the Battle of Parramatta) then occurred between Pemulwuy's group and a collection of British soldiers and settlers.
One of the settlers was injured but at least five Aboriginals were shot dead with many more wounded, including Pemulwuy. An unknown number of Aboriginals were killed in the initial dispersal which led up to the battle.
1799
Henry Hacking was ordered by Governor John Hunter to investigate claims of British sailors being trapped by Aboriginals at the mouth of the Hunter River to the north of the colony. Hacking encountered a group of Awabakal people on the south side of the river who informed him that the sailors had left earlier on foot, endeavouring to walk back to Sydney. Hacking didn't believe them and became agitated, shooting dead four Awabakal men. The sailors later arrived in Sydney having walked the distance to return.
1816
Appin massacre.
NSW Gov. Macquarie sent soldiers against the Gundungurra and Dharawal people on their lands along the Cataract River, a tributary of the Nepean River, in reprisal for violent conflicts with white settlers (in which several died) in the adjoining Nepean and Cowpastures districts. The punitive expedition split in two at Bent's Basin, one moving south-west against the Gundungurra, and the other moving south-east against the Dharawal. The SE group came upon Cataract Gorge, where the soldiers used their horses to force men, women and children to fall from the cliffs of the gorge, to their deaths below. On April 17, around 1 am soldiers arrived at a camp of Dharawal people at Appin. Captain Willis from the party of soldiers wrote:
The fires were burning but deserted. A few of my men heard a child cry … The dogs gave the alarm and the natives fled over the cliffs. It was moonlight. I regret to say some (were) shot and others met their fate by rushing in despair over the precipice.
Fourteen dead bodies were counted in different directions.
1824 - Wiradjuri massacres
Following the killing of seven Euro people by Aboriginal people around Bathurst, NSW, and a battle between three stockmen and a warband over stolen cattle which left 16 Aborigines dead, Gov. Brisbane declared martial law to restore order and was able to report a cessation of hostilities in which 'not one outrage was committed under it, neither was a life sacrificed or even Blood spilt'.
Part of the tribe trekked down to Parramatta to attend the Gov.'s annual Reconciliation Day.
