Today is all about relaxing in Taupo so we head to the Wairakei Terraces Thermal Springs in Taupo. Lake Taupo is a hotbed for geothermal activity in Taupo and a great place to see a mini geothermal park in Taupo is at the Wairakei Terraces hot pools. Before jumping in the Taupo hot pools we check out the geothermal features of the geyser and Wairakei Terraces themselves.

A rainy ????morning in Taupō, perfect time for a hot spring visit. We went to Wairakei Natural Thermal Terraces ???? for a ????♂️ and relaxation in the hot pools????. In the afternoon we took a sailing ⛵️trip on Lake Taupō and learned a lot about it’s natural and cultural history including the fact that the lake is a large Caldera from the collapse of the second largest volcanic eruption ???? in history. We also checked out the amazing Māori Rock Carving site
