Seelisberg UR - Wallfahrtskapelle Maria Sonnenberg

Die Wallfahrtskapelle Maria Sonnenberg steht an einem atemberaubend schönen Ort auf einem Felssporn hoch über dem Vierwaldstättersee. Einer Legende nach wurde im 16. Jahrhundert von einem Buben ein holzgeschnitztes Gnadenbild gefunden. An diesem Ort wurde im Jahr 1666 die heutige Wallfahrtskirche erbaut. Zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten gehören die Votivtafeln, die Wanderbilder von Paul Deschwanden und das Chorgitter von 1697. Die ältere der beiden Kirchenglocken stammt aus dem Jahre 1384.
